Primary, infant and junior school admissions for school places in 2026 are now open.

If you're a parent or carer with a child who was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 (or if your child is leaving Year 2 of an infant school in July 2026) they will be due to start school in September 2026. You have until 15 January 2026 to apply for their school place.

There is only one week left until the deadline for primary, infant and junior school admissions, but there’s still time to apply for a school place for your child.

You have until 15 January to apply for your child's school place. If you miss the deadline, the chances of getting one of your preferred schools for your child is reduced.
