It was lovely to see so many of our families - past, present and future - at another fantastic Frensham Fayre this weekend! Our children took part in the parade walking through the village down into Hollowdene Recreation Ground, where there was lots of fun for all the family! We hope all of the grown ups had a great time at Party in the Park too!

This week our Outdoors Club returned to Squires Garden Centre in Frensham to harvest their potato crops. Earlier in Spring, they went to Squires to plant potatoes and learn how to look after them at home. We couldn't believe the bumper crop produced by this year's children. After digging up the potatoes and weighing them, children joined the restaurant team at Squires to clean their potatoes, cut them into chips and most importantly eat them! A huge thank you to Cathy, Shaughan and all the team at Squires for this fantastic fun and educational "Grow Your Own Chips" experience.

This morning, to mark National Thank A Teacher Day, our wonderful parents organised a lovely hamper full of goodies for all school staff including Class Teachers, Teaching Assistants, School Office, Kitchen staff and Library volunteers. Thank you from all of us to our amazing school community for this gesture and for recognising the role that each member of staff plays in making St Mary's the special school it is.

We are delighted to have raised a fantastic £2,616 from our 'Walk for Water' on Friday in aid of Dig Deep, a charity who help to provide access to clean water, safe sanitation and good hygiene to children in Bomet, Kenya. As a whole school, we walked to Frensham Great Pond and back to collect water and learn about how fortunate we are to have access to clean water and flushing toilets. Thank you to our parent volunteers who accompanied us on the walk and a huge well done to all of St Mary's for raising such a great amount for this very worthy cause!
