Y2 parents and those with children due to start YR in 2024, please be aware that you can apply for schools up until 15 January 2024.

Surrey County Council encourage online applications via https://www.eadmissions.org.uk/eAdmissions/app

Full information is available on Surrey's website at www.surreycc.gov.uk/primaryadmissions.

Applications received after the closing date without good reason will be treated as late and will not be considered until all on time applications have been processed. This may jeopardise the chance of a parent being offered one of their preferred schools for their child.

It was great to welcome author, Eloise Bonner, into Sunshine class today. She read her book, Through Starburst Eyes, which was inspired by her son, Alfie, who has Williams Syndrome. Please find the link below if you would like to buy a copy. Alfie enjoyed exploring Sunshine class. https://www.thegreatbritishbookshop.co.uk/products/through-starburst-eyes

As you all know it's been Folly Hill's 50th birthday this year - we may have mentioned it once or twice!

We set ourselves a challenge in September to have 50 visitors/trips throughout the year. We have had enjoyed some wonderful experiences including authors, dog agility, theatre, healthcare workers, an athlete, lots of animals, a science workshop, magic show, choir workshop, an artist...the list goes on and on.

Our 50th visitor was very special as it was Mrs Green, the previous head, who did an assembly to the children about her time at Folly Hill. The visitors are still coming and we are looking forward to welcoming a poet next week.

We were thrilled to welcome Adrian Patrick, Commonwealth Games gold medalist into school this week. Adrian is a former sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. He did a workout with each class and then did a talk and a Q&A session. What a fabulous, fun, fit way to spend the morning.

A huge thank you to Susie Lidstone for letting Sunshine Class come and visit her studio this afternoon. The children loved it and have been inspired to look more closely at buildings and flowers😊

Why do 50km when you can do 62?!
The Folly Hill Flyers had a successful day out which included bacon butties, cake and ice cream!
They are a bit achy today but all back in school (possibly planning the next trip 😉)

Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy sports day with us. We hope you loved it as much as we did. The children were amazing! A special mention to the Y10 PE students from Farnham Heath End School who set up some wonderful sporting activities for us in the morning. They were a joy to have around, a credit to themselves and their school.
