And thank you so much to all of our lovely families for continuing to support us 🩷💙 thank you for all of your kind words and generous gifts yesterday.

See you all then :)
I think James wore them on Wednesday so perhaps someone could have accidentally taken them home in the interim?
It’s a black 3 in 1 mountain warehouse (I think!) coat- it has a zip in fleece. Age 3-4.
And a pair of black trespass waterproof trousers age 2-3.
His name is in both- I used sharpie on the label.
Please would you all mind checking to see as I could really do with them at home 🙂 Happy to collect from someone if they’ve smuggled themselves in with you!
Whilst I am here, we are thinking about posting pictures/ letters to our friends whilst the current situation continues, so if anyone would like to join in, please do drop me a pm and we can organise addresses etc. James would love to post things and receive things too!
Take care everyone, these are hard times but we will be ok ❤️

We are a term time only pre-school nestled in the Surrey hills in the beautiful village of Seale.
Operating as usual

Exciting changes this morning to our cocoons!

On our walk today we explored the farmers field and stopped for a picnic snack time.

Exciting times at the Pre-school as all of our resident caterpillars have now made their cocoons! The countdown is on to welcome the butterflies.

Good morning all.
We hope that your sunflowers have began to grow. Please use the comments to update us on how big they are getting!

We have been busy looking at growth and change!
Our caterpillars have grown lots since they came in on Monday. Our tomato plant is beginning to flower and our strawberries are beginning to turn red!

Having a splashingly good time in the garden, this afternoon!

Lots of oudoor learning going on this half term!
We are so lucky to have these amazing experiences available on our doorstep, allowing the children to build upon their social skills whilst being immersed in nature. They have been so excited to go up to the field to see the farmers progress and have started to estimate how many ladybirds we will find on our adventures. We have also enjoyed lots of planting and growing and of course, our old favourite, cooking for everyone in the mud kitchen!

Smiles At School Photography will be coming to the pre-school on Tuesday 20th June!

If you go down to the woods today…
At our forest school site today we have found caterpillars dancing in the trees (making cocoons), a toad hiding in the leaves, and have been building a den!

A small snippet of what we have been up to this term so far!
Lots of small world play
Messy play
Water play

And more...

🐇 Happy Easter to all of our lovely families 🐣

Some things on during Easter hols! 🐇🐣

Easter fun! 🐣
✨Messy church craft activities at our Spire Cafe, Farnham this Thursday 10-12!✨ see you there!✨

This week we...
- Celebrated Mothers day at our stay and play session.
- Wore our odd socks to celebrate world down syndrome day.
- Did lots of messy play and enjoyed cleaning up our giant mess in the garden too!
- Played lots of group games and parachute games.
- Got creative with the blocks!

Some of the activities we have been enjoying over the past two weeks.
We had lots of fun in the snow making our snowman, Jingles!
We have been practicing our fine motor and gross motor skills.
Exploring outdoors - observing the effects of the changing weather.
Using instruments and following instructions
Turn taking - The children organised themselves and created a queue so they could each have a turn jumping off the blocks!

The children have been very busy this week!
We all enjoyed dressing up for world book day and exploring the different activities set out. "We're going on a bear hunt" activity was a particular favourite.
The children also enjoyed a pirate treasure hunt which was at our forest school site for the over threes or in the pre-school garden for the under threes.
BABY GROUP UPDATE
Due to numbers growing within the pre-school we have had to make the decision to cancel the baby group for this half term. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

When pretend play making pancakes turns into making potions! Lots of time spent mixing and whisking, watching the different ingredients change colour and form.

Today we all enjoyed some yummy pancakes. All made from scratch by the children! Yum!

Delicious s’mores today! The children certainly enjoyed toasting marshmallows, some of them had very clear plans…not too toasty, no biscuits, eat it off the stick! How do you like yours? Sarah loves them charcoal coloured and without biscuits!

Forest School session tomorrow! Because it’s chilly and the last week before holidays we’re planning to have a fire!! Toasty marshmallows and biscuits = s’mores for snack 🙋🏻♀️👍🏻💚
We’re so sorry but we have to cancel this week’s baby & toddler group, so we’ll see you next week! X

Absolutely glorious at forest school today, it’s fascinating how sheltered it always is in the woods 💚
We started our wonderful new baby & toddler stay and play session this morning! If you would like to come and join us please do, 9.15-10:30am every Thursday morning! £2 per family, hot drink available too 💚

We’re back!!! It’s so good to be in the trees again. Lots of first timers today too, happy days

Who can resist a puddle? These were shallow but usually we’d need a stick to measure depth before plunging in. Outdoor learning is holistic and FUN!

Got any scraps of wrapping paper left? Please bring it to SVP. Our focus for our ‘in the moment planning’ will surely be about wrapping and unwrapping next week!!

Seale Village Pre-school
We are in the heart of a lovely village, which we explore in all year round. Our hall is spacious, airy and very welcoming. Our forest school site is close by - fs sessions at no additional costs.
We have a few spaces available so please message or email to arrange a visit soon!
At SVP HQ we’re making preparations for the New Year Festivities, looking forward to seeing another year in with people we love. SVP opens again on Wednesday 4th January 2023! We will see you soon!

We aimed for forest school this morning, but saw the fields were being watered with an enormous sprinkler so we had to investigate a bit closer......
We made a fab insect hotel today in "Sarah's quiet garden" (as I like to call it) and the discussions were great, especially when I asked what the acorn cup could be for and someone said "well they'll need a toilet in their room" Oh such literal thinkers! Loved it so much I didn't actually take any photos 🤦♀️ 💚
Have a great week off and we'll see you soon
