Welcome to the i2i Teaching Partnership SCITT – an innovative, supportive and highly respected provider of Secondary Initial Teacher Training. The i2i Teaching Partnership is an alliance of highly successful secondary schools, with the lead school Ofsted rated “Outstanding”. We go the extra mile in delivering a first class school-based Initial Teacher Training programme (11-16) that ensures you gain the knowledge and skills necessary to transform lives. In partnership with the University of Sussex, we offer a school-led PGCE which all trainees are encouraged to follow, but we do offer QTS only as an option.
Socially, we often get asked “what do you do?” We think a better question would be “WHY do you do what you do?” Almost 50% of our current trainees would answer by saying their why is to “transform lives”.
At the i2i Teaching Partnership we are passionate about ensuring students have access to the best possible education. By supporting you in your training year, and into your career through ongoing professional development, we know that you will help us achieve that vision and transform the lives of the next generation. We have a passion for, and deep knowledge of, the subjects we teach and a conviction that with hard work, belief in ourselves and each other, a sense of belonging and care, the amazing is possible. Our motto for everyone in our school community is ‘You Can’.
Our broad network of partnership schools present exciting, varied training possibilities, including four schools with a sixth form and two special needs schools. Our programme will immerse you in a school setting right from the start with expert Mentors to guide and support you. Employment rates on our programmes are high and career progression and continuing professional development is embedded into our culture.
We are proud to say that 100% of our 2017-18 trainees passed with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with 93% graded as either good or high (outstanding).
