The Department for Education has announced that from September 2026, the starting salary for teachers entering the profession will be a minimum of ÂŁ34,068.

For those teaching in London, this could be as much as ÂŁ41,728.

Michelle leads the teacher training at our Reigate centre while also teaching Maths at Reigate School.

With more than 20 years’ experience, mainly in secondary education, she has been a Head of Maths and supported Maths leads in primary schools.

Having been involved in teacher training for many years, she is passionate about supporting adult learners and encouraging others into the profession.

Outside school, Michelle enjoys gardening, cycling the Downs Link and playing board games with her family.

These are just the smallest selection of the messages the i2i Partnership Basingstoke mentors have received from our trainees.

It has been an absolute pleasure having each and every one of them with us this year.

They have put so much hard work, care and dedication into their training and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved along the way.

It’s sad to see them go, but we know we’ll stay in touch and continue to support and guide them as confident teachers.
