We had such a great meeting on Monday and well done, Ann, on winning both the Best Evaluator and Best Table Topics. Patrick won Best Speaker with a very useful back-to-basics educational on creating the best club climate - thank you Patrick - good to be reminded of how to really serve our members.

Ann gave such a beautiful answer for her table topic - the question, from Simon, was 'if you had amnesia, what would you most like to forget'. I'm not going to tell you Ann's response right away - post a comment below and tell me what your answer would be. I will share what Ann said on Friday.😊

I'm really looking forward to getting back to regular Farnham Speakers meetings from next Monday. It's the best place to learn new skills - and of course, improve public speaking and confidence - plus have a lot of fun at the same time! If you haven't experienced a Toastmasters meeting, come along next Monday, 10th, and see how you can learn new skills. We run hybrid meetings so you can either join us in person at 7.30pm in the Elstead Room at the Bush Hotel or message me for Zoom details 😊

Congratulations to DM who was awarded his Level 4 certificate yesterday by Tom, our President. DM is working on the Leadership Development Pathway and now it's a race to the finish to see who will complete their first Pathway at Farnham Speakers!!! Well done, DM.

Tom was also presented with the President's Distinguished ribbon by Patrick, VPE, who also pinned Tom with his President's pin. No pressure, Tom, but Farnham wants another President's Distinguished ribbon this year!!

Thirteen of us had a lovely Christmas dinner at the Beefeater in Farnham this evening. Some of us really got into the festive spirit and got out Christmas jumpers to mark the occasion. We missed all who couldn't make it and hope to see you at our next meeting, the last of 2021, on Monday evening, 13th, at the Bush Hotel.

We had a great Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest evening yesterday. Excellent speeches and Topics entries. Very glad I wasn’t judging!! Well done to Patrick Thomas on winning the speech contest and for Tom Ede who won Topics. Good luck to you both for the Div D Area 14 contest on Saturday 9th October!
