What a fantastic effort by everyone at St. Andrew's for World Book Day. Teachers came as Little Miss characters, appropriately chosen to suit their personality!
Well done to all the parents who provided creative book character costumes for the children. They looked stunning.
Today also saw our new outdoor canopy finished and up to shelter the outdoor learning environment. It looks amazing.

Thank you to Lynne Hutt, Miss Hutt's mum, who created a beautiful hand sewn altar cloth for our school. It is decorated with embroidered fishes from the story of Saint Andrew, the disciple. We were so pleased that Rev'd David Uffindell came to unveil it, in a special worship, at school today.

What an amazing PTFA we have at St. Andrew's! The dedication and hard work mean that all of our children benefit from some amazing opportunities. Thank you from the school staff to all of our wonderful parents.

What an amazing achievement from Otter Class as they raised £1300 for Challengers. Ara and Elliot wrote a persuasive letter to their Headteacher, requesting the use of the running track and sports crew at Potters Gate Primary School to set up their class marathon. Each child needed to run 7 laps to achieve their goal of 26 miles. We are proud to announce they completed a whopping 31 miles!!
They even had the honour of a congratulatory visit from Rachel Morris, back at school.

Been an absolutely glorious start to today's Farnham Charity Bike Ride, with our very own Carolyn Wickham taking part alongside her good friend Rachel Morris. Good luck on the 50 mile route ladies! 👏👏👏✊️
St Andrew’s CofE Infant School - Farnham office manager Carolyn Wickham and Paralympian Rachel Morris will be tackling the 50-mile route, leaving at 8.30am. Rachel’s hot tip for the riders today: “Remember, hills are just flat at an angle!” Love it 😆

It's that time of year again, the Farnham Charity Bike Ride & Sportive is THIS SUNDAY and it promises to be a cracker! Since the event was first started by parents of St.Andrew's Infant School kids way back in the mists of time it has gone from strength to strength, with the profits from the day split 50/50 between the St Andrew’s PTFA and the Farnham Round Table's good local causes. There are an anticipated 1000 riders turning out this year, but there is still room to get involved - either sign up now for the ride of your choosing from the 16, 25, 50 or 75 mile rides or if you aren't the cycling kind there are plenty of jobs to do on the day. Go to www.farnhambikeride.org.uk to register for the ride, contact the organisers directly if you'd like to volunteer your services, or just turn up on Sunday and enjoy the atmosphere - with Castle Street closed to traffic all day it's a nice place to hang out!
Oh, and did we mention our very own office manager Carolyn Wickham has been persuaded by her friend and former Paralympic medallist Rachel Morris to ride the 50 mile route? Wish her luck!!

💪 Rachel Morris, 3 times Paralympic medallist, who will be not only starting the 75 & 50 mile rides but who will be riding the 50 miler herself!
👧👩🏼🦱🧔👱♂️ Most of all, all the volunteers from the Farnham Round Table, St.Andrew's Infant School and all the other lovely folk who are giving up their Sunday to help guide you round the routes and keep you fed and watered along the way! Go to www.farnhambikeride.org.uk and choose your route, then we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning. The 75 milers start at 8am, 50 milers 8:30am, 25 milers 9am and the 16 milers head off at 9:30am. Let's get this show on the road!

St. Andrew's Infant School would like to congratulate Potters Gate Primary School on their latest Ofsted under a Section 8 inspection. Once again it was classed as 'GOOD'.https://www.potters-gate.surrey.sch.uk/docs/Potters_Gate_Cof_E_Primary_School_Ofsted_Report.pdf Potters Gate is our main feeder school (99%) led by the same leadership. St. Andrew's children are already so comfortable with Potters Gate as they know so many of the team, children and environment this makes their transition from an infant school to primary school a lot easier. Both schools have an 'Open Day' on Saturday 8.1.22 for prospective parents before the YR/Y3 applications closes on 15.1.22 . Please contact St. Andrew's on 01252 716 305 (3) / Potters Gate 01252 715 619 to book a place.

What a busy day it has been at St. Andrew's Infant School! We have raised £49.16 for Children in Need by children bringing in coins & putting them on a chalk Pudsey drawing in the playground. Interesting to see: some children randomly threw the coins, some created the outline and some made a repeating pattern. Thank you to all who have donated to Children in Need. P.S. still counting merchandising Children in Need items.
18/11/2021
Two members of the school council were given the task to go round the classes and see if any of the other pupils wanted to support Children in Need by buying a badge or keyring. They did such a great job that by the end of today's school day all the merchandise was sold out. Only 1 more night sleep and St. Andrew's School will have another FUN fundraising event for Children in Need. Watch this space!! https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/
