πŸŽ‰πŸ’š Happy 3rd Birthday, MindGreen! πŸ’šπŸŽ‰

This week we're celebrating three years of MindGreen and the incredible community that has grown around it.

What started with a simple call from our CEO, Gary Headland, for volunteers to form a committee has become a movement dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of our staff and students across Activate Learning.

In the past three years, MindGreen has:
πŸ’š Raised more than Β£42,000
🌱 Reinvested over £34,000 into wellbeing resources and activities.

But MindGreen is about so much more than fundraising. It's about people coming together with a shared purpose to make a positive difference across our campuses.

A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated, partnered with us, shared their expertise or supported MindGreen along the way.

We'd also like to give a special thank you to our fantastic MindGreen staff and student ambassadors, whose passion and commitment help bring wellbeing initiatives to life across our colleges.

Happy third anniversary to everyone who has played a part in inspiring our learners, apprentices and staff through purpose and wellbeing.

Here's to Year 4! πŸ’š

✨ What a year it's been at Farnham College! ✨

As another fantastic academic year ends, we're taking a moment to look back at some of the incredible achievements, unforgettable moments and inspiring successes that made this year so special.

From celebrating student creativity to inspiring educational visits and meaningful community partnerships, it's been a year full of ambition, innovation and opportunity.

Some of our highlights included our:

πŸ“ Photography student Katie Hill having her work selected for Sport in Mind's Mental Health Awareness Week exhibition, with her photography displayed at venues across Reading in recognition of her outstanding talent.

πŸ“ Media students stepping behind the scenes at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, exploring filmmaking, special effects, props and set design while gaining valuable insight into careers in the creative industries.

πŸ“ Students deepened their understanding of history and the importance of challenging prejudice during a powerful talk from Generation 2 Generation, hearing the family story of a Holocaust survivor and reflecting on the lasting importance of remembrance.

πŸ“ Students and staff coming together during Mental Health Foundation's Mental Health Awareness Week for a 12-hour cycle challenge in support of MindGreen, alongside wellbeing activities and support from local organisations.

πŸ“ Art, Design, Media and Photography students proudly exhibiting their work at the annual Creative Arts Private View, celebrating a year of imagination, creativity and hard work with family, friends and the local community.

A huge thank you to our students, staff, employers, partners and wider community for making this year one to remember.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another exciting year in September. Until then, have a wonderful summer! β˜€οΈ
