Last lesson before a week off was with soon to return to the USA Freddie Surgey who starts a new chapter Lamar University Mens Golf. After a summer of studying it was time to get back to the blueprint and work through some work for the upcoming college season. After playing a couple of times this week it’s also good to see the player on course. Big things to come

U14 SEG League Champions 🏆🔥

A massive congratulations to our U14 team who claimed the league title by just half a point on Sunday at Sunbury Golf 👀

The U14 team picked up the 10 points needed on Sunday habing beaten Sussex 5.5 - 4.5 and narrowly missing out to BB&O losing 4.5 - 5.5. However this was enough for the lads to pick up a very impressive league win 📈🔥

In a very competitive league we are super proud of all the boys who have represented us this year! You all deserve a massive congratulations 🥳🔥

A really positive first session today with professional golfer Ben Terry.

Ben is a very talented player with a wealth of experience, and today we focused on a couple of key areas to improve the quality and consistency of his strike. The goal was to reduce the need for him to rely on his exceptional hand and clubface manipulation to produce the shots he wants, instead creating a more efficient movement pattern through some simple changes in how his body moves.

Within just a couple of swings, the improvements were clear. We worked through a few straightforward drills that will help him tidy things up during practice and make those changes more automatic.

Ben has competed at a very high level throughout his career, and although his schedule hasn’t been as full recently, I have no doubt that once these changes bed in, he’ll be back competing for—and winning—tournaments very soon.

Looking forward to seeing his progress over the coming weeks.

Amazingly proud of winning Carnoustie Golf Links today in a playoff. It’s been coming for a while but a couple of years of health issues and injury’s make days like today all the more satisfying. Class is permanent form is temporary.

How do you measure improvement in golf?

Is it your handicap coming down? Is it beating your friends more often?

For me, improvement is being able to hit shots under tournament pressure that I know I can hit on the range. It’s also about my bad shots changing over time.

A few years ago, I fought a hook for a long time. If I hooked one shot during a round, I couldn’t stop it. Now, that’s largely a thing of the past. But that didn’t happen overnight. It came from working on the same things for years, checking the same fundamentals repeatedly, and staying committed to the objectives and plan I’d put in place.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve played in a few tournaments—some good, some not so good. Regardless of the score, I’ve hit shots where the outcome wasn’t perfect, but I’ve moved in a way that I simply couldn’t have a year or two ago.

Most importantly, under pressure, I haven’t fallen back into the movements or shot patterns that feel comfortable but that I know aren’t right for me. I’ve stayed committed to the process.

That’s why sticking to your blueprint is so important. Real improvement isn’t always reflected in the score straight away. Often, it’s seen in your ability to trust and execute the right patterns when it matters most.

What a week at the Pro-Am at Royal Bled, Slovenia 🇸🇮⛳️

Without doubt one of the best-conditioned golf courses I’ve ever played. A tough test from tee to green, but every challenge was worth it with the incredible views surrounding the course.

The experience off the course was just as impressive – fantastic food, outstanding service, and a venue that truly lives up to its reputation.

A huge thank you to Rowley, Dan and Dom for a brilliant week. Great golf, great company, and plenty of memories made.

Already looking forward to the next one!
