Come along to our parent run coffee morning next Thursday to meet other parents and have a chat over a well deserved cuppa and biscuit! ☕️
There is a change to the previously announced defibrillator/CPR awareness training being run by Heart Start Farnham Lions.

The session at Hale Community Centre will actually be held at 7pm TONIGHT and not on Thursday.

There is no change to the training at Hale Academy in the Sports Hall - this will still be straight after the morning drop off on Thursday 12th.

Apologies for any confusion.
Dear Families,

Have a good weekend
Dear Families,

We now have a confirmed date for defibrillator/CPR awareness training being run by Heart Start Farnham Lions.

On Thursday 12th May there will be 2 separate sessions - the first will be at Hale Academy in the Sports Hall straight after the morning drop off that day. There will also be an evening session at 7pm at Hale Community Centre.

If you would like to sign up to attend either session, please complete the form below so we have an idea of the numbers who will be attending.
As part of our Jubilee celebrations, there is whole school art project to make a peg doll of either the Queen or one of the Queen's guard or maybe another member of the royal family.

The children will be doing this in school but we are asking for donations of any fabric, thread, buttons, wool or anything else crafty that can be used to decorate the peg dolls. All donations gratefully received. If you have anything please can you give them to your classes. Many thanks

Please note that Surrey County Council will be carrying out planned roadworks tomorrow (Thursday 28th September) on the junction of Alma Lane and Upper Hale Road between 9:30am-3:30pm.
The works shouldn't affect the morning drop off but will likely impact collection time. Please can we ask that as many families walk as possible to reduce congestion.

We have been invited to participate in the 2k Cross Country race at Farnham Park on Saturday 14th October 2023. This is open to all children in Years 3-6. If your child is interested in taking part, please complete the following permission slip by Wednesday 11th October 2023: https://forms.office.com/e/B9ZWKa7H1R

All children are welcome, regardless of whether they attended cross country club last year. However, whilst this is a fun event, it is not an easy run as conditions tend to be boggy with inclines and the children will need to be really confident in their running ability and overall fitness to manage the 2K distance.

Full details can be found here:https://www.hale.kite.academy/assets/Uploads/Cross-country-Letter-Farnham-Park-Oct-2023.pdf

We have 3 places left for our cookery course starting this Thursday (14th) at St Joan of Arc's Parish Hall, Farnham. The course teaches basic cookery skills and includs advice on budgeting, nutrition, health & wellbeing. Contact the Foodbank if you would a place on the course.

A reminder that Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th September are INSET Days and the school is closed - we look forward to seeing the children on Thursday.

Our new to Reception children will be in school on Wednesday 6th from 9am-12pm as per the transition letter.

Can we also remind you of the following:

- All shoes for school uniform days should be completely black.
- Trainers for PE should be completely black (not illuminous green/oranges that have been creeping in this year!)
- PE kit should be non-branded blue or black track suit bottoms. If you would like to check uniform regulations please see the uniform page on our website.
- The PTA have a lot of good quality second hand uniform, please contact them if this can support you in any way.
- Water bottles should all be clear/transparent- bottles where the contents cannot be seen will not be allowed.
- No pencil cases. Children will be provided with their own individual resources. Pencil cases have been becoming more and more elaborate and therefore a distraction for learning.

Thank you

Please join us on Saturday 1st July as part of the Hale Academy entry into the Hale Carnival Procession.

Our theme this year is pirates!

We are asking for children to send in their pirate jokes. If your child would like to join in the procession, please locate a suitable costume (for example a stripy t-shirt and shorts) and join us on the School Field at school at 17:00. All will be revealed then! Basic face painting will be available for those who would like it, but you would have to arrive earlier at 16:30. A responsible adult will have to stay with the child throughout the judging and the procession down the hill to the main Carnival arena on the Hale Rec at 18:00. It is always a fun experience, so please come along!

This summer we will be operating our cut-off point again.

We will be running a cake stall alongside our other refreshments at Halefest tomorrow and are requesting any cake/biscuits contributions from our Hale school community.

These do not need to be homemade, shop brought is fine. If they are homemade please could we ask that they come with a list of the ingredients for allergy purposes.

Cakes can be dropped at the school office on Friday 9th, if shop brought and will keep, they can also be dropped at the school on Saturday before or during Halefest, from 2pm.

Many Thanks for all your kind and generous donations.
