We are incredibly grateful to Rushmoor Borough Council for approving this funding contribution towards our proposed new 3G pitch, in particular to Councillor Sophie Porter for championing this project.
Thank you for your confidence in our vision and your commitment to supporting grassroots sport in Farnborough.
We are excited to bring this project to life and create a facility that will benefit the whole community for years to come.

We’ve approved funding support of up to £150,000 towards a proposed new 3G pitch at Wavell School in Farnborough.
The new pitch could support Wavell School’s Football Foundation application and help create more opportunities for pupils, local clubs, community groups and residents to get active.
Subject to approvals, the facility would support school sport, grassroots football and community use outside school hours.

⚽️ Can you help us bring a new 3G pitch to Wavell? ⚽️
We're one step closer to creating a fantastic new community sports facility at Wavell School – but we need your support.
We're asking parents, carers and local residents to complete a very short survey to help demonstrate the demand for better sports facilities in Farnborough and Aldershot. It only takes a couple of minutes, but every response strengthens our application.
👉 Complete the survey here: https://forms.gle/yDgu1nmRC1LUahbs7
Please also share this post with friends, family, local sports clubs and anyone who lives in Farnborough or Aldershot. The more responses we receive, the stronger our case becomes.
Thank you for helping us create a facility that will benefit our students and the wider community for years to come. 💙💛

Yesterday we welcomed parents, residents and community partners to our 3G Pitch Community Engagement Event. It was wonderful to see such positive engagement and enthusiasm for a project that will provide outstanding opportunities for students through sport, clubs and enrichment, while also becoming a fantastic asset for the wider community and enabling future investment back into the school.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, particularly Councillor Sophie Porter and Councillor Keith Dibble, who came along to support the event. We were also thrilled to receive written support from Alex Baker MP, which further demonstrates the growing backing for this exciting development. Every conversation and every message of support brings us another step closer to making this vision a reality. Find out how you can Pitch In here... https://www.wavellschool.org.uk/Pitch-In/

This term the Design Technology Department invited staff to do a craft and coffee session over 3 weeks.
Staff made donations to do the sessions during which they made fabric bags.
We had a real range of experience and it was such a lovely few afternoons raising £335 for Blood Cancer UK.

⚓ Who can build the ultimate unsinkable boat? ⚓
That was the challenge facing our Year 10 students in school on Monday!
Armed with just:
✅ One sheet of aluminium foil
✅ 0.5m of Sellotape
Teams designed and built boats to see which could hold the most slotted masses before disappearing beneath the waves! 🌊
Along the way, students explored the forces of upthrust and weight, while testing how different design features affected buoyancy and stability.
Pictured are the three winning teams with their crafts.
