🎨📸 Last week, our Year 11 Art and Photography students enjoyed an inspiring visit to the Tate Modern, exploring an incredible range of artwork.
Our Photography students also took the opportunity to capture some fantastic urban images, exploring the city from a creative perspective.

It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, inspiration and learning beyond the classroom. A huge thank you to the staff who accompanied the trip and helped make the day such a success. Everyone had a great time! 👏✨

Students in a Year 8 French lesson got competitive with 'Sentence Stealing' this week! After a quick game of rock, paper, scissors to decide who would go first, they had to guess and correctly pronounce their partner’s French sentence to steal the card. 🪨📄✂️

The classroom was buzzing with energy with an "Au revoir!" to one partner and "Bonjour!" to the next as they moved around and repeated the challenge after each round.

A fantastic way to build confidence and practise key vocabulary, it was lovely to see so many enjoying speaking French. 🇫🇷

🌸 Year 9 have been exploring plant reproduction in Science and completed their first practical investigation of the year. Students dissected flowers to identify and label their structures, with many going a step further to uncover the tiny ovules hidden inside the o***y. 🔬

Our Year 7 students have been busy in the kitchen, boiling potatoes, peeling and crushing garlic, and slicing and cooking bacon as they prepared their delicious potato salad.🧅🥓🧀🧄

The incredible aroma drifting down the A Block corridor was enough to make everyone hungry! The students worked hard to develop their food preparation skills, and the results looked absolutely fantastic.

We hope their families get the opportunity to taste test these wonderful creations, which looked and smelled exceptional. 🍽️Well done, Year 7!

🎓 Life After Wavell!

This week, our Year 11 students took part in our annual Life After Wavell event, meeting with post-16 providers and career specialists to discover the exciting opportunities available to them after their GCSEs.

We were incredibly proud of how confidently, respectfully, and enthusiastically our students engaged with visitors, earning fantastic praise from providers throughout the morning.
