As a designated key worker I am able to offer face to face therapy again but this will only be available in the North Camp Clinic which adheres to strict covid procedures. Please get in touch if I can help and stay safe everyone.

Not working face to face with clients at the moment but able to support via tele platforms such as whatsapp, skype and zoom during these challenging times. Able to update Talk Tools programmes for current clients via this platform. Stay strong and healthy during these difficult times.👍

TFL's latest steps into work programme available for those with mild to moderate learning disabilities and those on autistic spectrum. Wow trains all day what's not to love for our ASD guys.

Course from Sept 2019-Aug 2020 and has 24 places available.

Need to submit an expression of interest form by 5pm Friday June 7th this year.

Applicants will be invited to take part in an assessment day at Barnet and Southgate College with job coaches on head to offer help and advice.

Have added another French Aba school to the portfolio and looking forward to another week of joint OT & SLT with Hemispheres in May in the South of France!

Scott came in from work tonight with a Valentine flower and card he had bought me!!!! So sweet.
He is now permanent at work having completed his 3 month probation period and now is a regular at the chip shop on a Friday with the rest of the team.
His cheeky grin when he told me he had bought a 7 up to have with his banana at break and a strawberry Ribena at lunch (both of which he knows he is not allowed!!!!) was priceless especially as he added that neither had Aspartame.😂

Yah ! Je vais commencer a une autre école d'aba à Paris. Cela représente au total 5 écoles dans toute la France maintenant. Juste besoin de quelque chose sur le côté Est et je vais couvrir tous les points de la boussole!

Yah just starting with another aba school in Paris. That brings total to 5 schools throughout France now. Just need something over on the East side and I'll cover all the compass points!!

All checked in at Heathrow for week long consultancy in Paris !!!

Looks like May will be busy month with lots of trips to France as working in 3 of the aba schools in different regions of France. Tickets and hotels all booked just need to pack!!!

Long day but very rewarding! French Aba team delighted with input and now want me to support their teams in Perpignan which is brill as used to work there!

Busy week -loved the Prompt Bridging training - now level 2 trained and completed the introductory PODD course.Wow both really impressive courses and really help me in delivering therapy to my client group.

Busy half term week with separate aba teams coming down from Huddersfield and over from Paris for individual assessments and input into their home programmes. Just as well I now have bigger office!!

New Clinic to play in at Farnborough

Well done to Tony for all his travel training with Scott which meant Scott waited independently to catch the bus home from Farnborough after his work in the library cafe back to Fleet. He had to wait 25 mins for the bus and get on the right one at the busy bus stop. He was totally unaware of his stalker hiding in the shopping centre checking everything went ok before rushing back to Fleet to check he got off at the right stop before casually appearing to offer him a lift!!!!!! New job as secret agent I think XX

Huge congrats to my amazing son who has passed his latest graded singing and music exam. You continue to inspire us all especially as you have no special treament or support for these exams and rely on your talent and charm to get you through.

Wow so proud of one of my selective mutism clients yesterday who was able to find his voice and have 2 x 9 minute formal and informal conversations with me in front of his teacher, the examiner and another student. Even more impressive as 8 weeks ago I had to leave the room so he could speak.

I sooo love my job

Did you know families can apply for funding for SLT from a charity called Fashion and Textile. If the parents work in any area of the industry (including shops that sells clothes like supermarkets) they can apply. If you look at the website it has a section for therapies. Might be worth sharing this with families as it might be of use and help them access funding.

Please support more autism training for teachers by signing the NAS open letter to Nicky Morgan, the Secretary of State for Education. Link is www.autism.org.uk/everyteacher.

Maybe then children might get the support they need instead of teachers assuming they are just naugthy!!!

Just back from very successful visit to Aberdeen to support my little Selective mutism boy who is now talking again following the move up to Scotland in August.

Lovely to hear his voice and the response from his class mates who thought he couldn't talk.

Some days I really feel I have the best job in the world.!!!

Off to Scerts training at end of January!

Still 100% success record at treating those with Selective Mutism Yay !!!

Going to Treating Autism Conference at Brunel University, Uxbridge Nov 8 & 9th.
