With The Great British Bake Off back on our screens, we’re feeling inspired to get our own budding bakers into the kitchen! 🍰

We’re inviting our families to get creative and bring their favourite storybooks to life through baking! 📖

From The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🍓 to The Tiger Who Came to Tea 🐯☕, what story will inspire your bake?

A £50 book voucher for you and your nursery! 📚🎁 So, get your creative chef hats on and start baking! 👩‍🍳

📅 How to enter:
Get baking at home and send your photos to your nursery by the end of Saturday 31st October.

Please provide:

We are very proud to announce we have another winner for Toad Halls employee of the month - Maggie Bardlsey 🐸🌟

Maggie was nominated for stepping up in the absence of the teams room leader ensuring that the children are well looked after and providing a constant for our families.

She also spearheaded our Little Toads moving into their new classroom and has made positive alterations to the environment. Maggie always provides a genuine, caring warmth for the children and her dedication and commitment to Toad Hall does not go unnoticed. ❤️🧑🏼‍🏫

🎈 What a wonderful celebration for our nursery’s first birthday! 🎈

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday to celebrate — we hope you all had a fantastic time!

It was lovely to see everyone come together, with the children enjoying the bouncy castle and meeting the animals from the petting farm. And, of course, the ice cream van was a huge hit with parents and children alike! 🍦

A big thank you for your continued support over the past year. We’re so proud to be part of such a wonderful community here in Farnborough and look forward to many more celebrations to come. 💚🐸

✈️ Eyes to the skies! ✈️

What an exciting time it’s been for our little ones as they’ve enjoyed watching the planes flying overhead from the Farnborough Air Show! From our tiniest babies (3 months) to our preschool children (5 years), everyone has been captivated by the incredible sights and sounds above.

These special moments create wonderful learning opportunities for every age. Our babies enjoy watching the movement of the planes, listening to the different sounds, and developing their visual tracking skills. Toddlers love pointing, talking about what they can see, and exploring new words such as “plane,” “high,” “fast,” and “loud.” Our older children have been asking lots of fantastic questions, sparking conversations about how planes fly, different types of aircraft, pilots, travel, and even the science of flight!

We’ve also been counting planes, describing their colours and shapes, talking about the weather, and encouraging children’s natural curiosity as they observe the world around them. These real-life experiences help develop communication and language, understanding of the world, mathematical thinking, and confidence in sharing ideas.

It’s amazing how something as simple as looking up at the sky can inspire so much wonder, imagination, and learning. 💙✈️
