🍂 Autumn Soup at Footsteps! 🎃🥣

This our children have been getting stuck into a lovely autumn-themed sensory and imaginative play activity! 🍁

We explored a selection of treasures including pumpkins, conkers, pinecones and colourful leaves, using our imagination to create our very own autumn soup. 🥣🍂

The children had lots of opportunities to:
✨ Explore different textures, colours, shapes and smells
✨ Develop their language and communication as they talked about their ingredients
✨ Use their imagination and creativity through pretend play
✨ Practise their fine motor skills as they scooped, stirred and mixed
✨ Work together, share resources and take turns

We love following the children’s ideas and using the natural world around us to inspire learning and play. 🌿🍁
