This week, I have been lucky enough to support young adults who have various barriers to learning. These are teenagers who have seen their home life turned upside down, anxiety overrunning their lives as well as other mental health/additional needs. It has made me realise this is exactly what I want to be spending my time doing: empowering students to realise they CAN do it.

This is just a screenshot of some awesome English work I did based on poetry & language features: the child hates writing so we broke the session up with a find/highlight task on my iPad.

Another happy family after securing the desired school place. It’s true, you can’t prepare for 11+ entrance exams as such but you can help the child with exam techniques and familiarisation. Confidence and self belief ☑️

With entrance exam season over, my diary is now open for a few weekly slots thanks to new availability.
