Another happy family after securing the desired school place. It’s true, you can’t prepare for 11+ entrance exams as such but you can help the child with exam techniques and familiarisation. Confidence and self belief ☑️

With entrance exam season over, my diary is now open for a few weekly slots thanks to new availability.

11+ exams are just around the corner and the children are working hard to boost that confidence 🫶🏼🫶🏼

11+ entrance exam prep is in full swing with exams only a matter of weeks away. Today’s focus was a range of reading skills including inference and prediction. We then finished off with a short character description, really improving the vocabulary and punctuation choices being made. 🙏

Hello everyone! I hope you are well. Just a quick update from me - online lessons are still going strong and I’m forever grateful that families are returning to me when extra support is needed. We may be in the desert but we love that technology can be utilised as the bridge across 4000 miles 🤣

I also wanted to share a wonderful piece of creative writing I was working on last night in preparation for 11+ exam season 🥰

Oh we love a bit of creative writing on a Sunday evening ✍️

Slow and steady…building up better quality vocabulary before turning initial ideas into a character description. Which an interesting image… 😆😆😆

When a child tells you ‘wow I can’t believe those ideas!’ when usually they’re less than thrilled about creative writing… resilience and patience for the win 👌🏼
