Dear Parents,

As part of Year 2's DT topic of 'Wheels and Axels', the children will be creating an ambulance for Florence Nightingale to use to help save her patients.

Therefore, we would welcome donations of any toy cars for the children to test out and understand how these cars move through the function of a chassis. We would also welcome any donations of old cereal boxes (junk modelling) that the children can use to create their ambulances.

Please hand any donations of toy cards or cereal boxes (junk modelling) to a member of the Year 2 team.

Hello Everyone,

It has been a fabulous first two days back in Year 1 and 2! All of the teachers and children have settled back in and are enjoying spending time with their new classes.

Year 2 would like to put out a plea for any cereal boxes or small card board boxes.

This half term, the children will be learning all about 'The Great Fire of London' and as part of this topic, they plan to build their own city and then set it alight to show the children how the fire spread so quickly. (See previous fire picture attached).

Please send your child in with a box ASAP.

P.S Mr Holden promises not to burn the 100 square in the playground this year! Oopppsss. Haha

We have been taking part in the GoDraw festival in school which the children have absolutely loved.
This Saturday there is an art celebration event at Farnborough Library where the decorated hoarding will be unveiled.
Please don't forget that the last day to order your commemorative teatowel is Tuesday 26th March

On Thursday we are hosting a sleepy story time with your child's teachers. Wear your comfiest pyjamas, bring your snuggliest blanket and your cuddliest toy! (one toy per child please and make sure it's named!)
