Today’s reflection on giving…

It’s always a bit frustrating when I go out for coffee or food on my own. As to see a nice seat and I would be waiting at the counter to order, when someone takes my seat. But me being conscious and being a giver, it doesn’t bother me.

Today as this happened, I smiled as I know that nice seat by the sunny window was being appreciated by a family with a young child. A natural giving process where I didn’t do anything to give, but it was indeed “Giving” and someone else benefited and that made me smile.

Later the family left and another family eagerly sneaking in to the seat. They had happy smiles as they too enjoyed the sunny position.

I tend to sit reading for longer periods, so it was beneficial to two families by me giving them the opportunity, and not originally telling them I was sitting there.

Although, not much of a giving thing to most people, or never seen for what it is, as most would probably moan about losing their seat. But it is “Giving” and a good sign of lack of ego.
