Boundary Oak School

Boundary Oak School Established in 1918, Boundary Oak is a co-educational day and boarding school for ages 2–16. Visit us: https://www.boundaryoakschool.co.uk/

Set in Hampshire’s idyllic countryside, we offer a culture of kindness, strong values and opportunity. Boundary Oak School is a friendly and caring school for 3-16 year olds: small enough for all of its pupils to be known to each other and by all members of staff, but large enough for there to be a wide range of opportunities for each and everyone to reach his or her full potential and to discover

new interests and talents. We believe firmly in the importance of the development of the individual, supported and encouraged by the whole school community. Consequently, the family values of kindness, encouragement and respect for one another lie at the heart of life here. We are blessed with a rural site that has easy access to transport links. Boundary Oak School is set in 23 acres of beautiful parkland close to Junction 10 of the M27, with several rail stations nearby offering routes to London and other major cities. Southampton Airport and ferry routes to the Isle of Wight and the continent are also just a short drive away. Recent investments and developments continue to improve the excellent facilities on offer at the school; new senior school classrooms, new sports hall, new dining hall and new Design & Technology centre compliment the existing astro, swimming pool, tennis courts, science laboratories, outdoor learning classroom, horticultural centre, traversing climbing wall, adventure playground, rugby pitches, extensive playing fields, woodland school, theatre, music centre and refurbished boarding house. Boundary Oak School is positively buzzing and could not be a more vibrant and exciting environment to challenge, stretch and nurture!

This year, we are proud to have been awarded Gold in the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Award.🌟

This recognition reflects the work that happens every day across our school community to help pupils understand their rights, respect the rights of others, and recognise the role they each play in creating a caring and inclusive environment. It celebrates the conversations, choices and actions that help pupils feel valued, heard, and empowered.

Earlier in the year, our Charity Club was also honoured with the ISA Charity Champion Award for a second consecutive year, following the success of their Every Memory Matters initiative in support of Dementia UK. Whether championing the importance of children’s rights or showing compassion for those living with dementia, our pupils continue to demonstrate the values we hope to inspire in every member of our community.

Both achievements reflect the same commitment at the heart of our school, nurturing young people who notice the world around them and understand that their actions can have a meaningful impact. Though these achievements belong to our whole school community, they are undoubtedly made meaningful by the actions of our pupils. The care they show for others, the ideas they share and the contributions they make are what bring these values to life every day.

Creativity has flourished across our school this year, and we're proud to celebrate the imagination, talent and individuality shown through our pupils' artwork.

A highlight of the year was our biggest Whole School Art Exhibition to date! Organised by our dedicated Art Department, the Acorn Theatre was transformed into a vibrant gallery, showcasing an inspiring collection of work from pupils across each year group. It was a wonderful celebration of self-expression, creativity and artistic achievement.

While preparations for the exhibition were underway, another exciting project was taking shape. Pupils created a series of food-themed clay sculptures, which are now proudly displayed in our dining hall. From ice cream cones and burgers to stacks of pancakes and gingerbread men, these colourful creations have become a lasting part of our school environment.

We are incredibly proud of everything our young artists have accomplished this year. Whether through the exhibition or the artwork displayed around the school, their creativity has helped shape a vibrant and welcoming environment that celebrates individuality and inspires others. Thank you to our pupils and staff for continuing to make creativity such an important part of school life.

Just one week on, we're already looking back on the final days of another fantastic school year.

From the excitement and laughter at the Colour Run to the proud moments and applause shared on Speech Day, both were wonderful ways to celebrate everything our pupils have achieved this year, and the community we continue to build together.

We've gathered some of our favourite photos from both events, and we hope they bring back plenty of happy memories. Have a look through and see if you can spot a familiar face! 🌈🎓

While the school may be a little quieter over the summer, our Admissions Team remains available throughout the holidays. If you have any questions, would like to learn more about Boundary Oak , or are planning for September, we're here to help.

Spaces are still available in select year groups for September 2026.

A brilliant burst of colour to end the 25/26 School Year 🌈

The BOS Colour Run brought our community together one last time before the summer break for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter and plenty of colourful chaos.

Organised by our wonderful Student Council, the event raised money for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance while celebrating the incredible spirit of our Boundary Oak community.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported the event and helped make it such a memorable occasion! 💙

As we get closer to the end of another fantastic school year, there's been no shortage of moments to celebrate!

The past few weeks have been filled with proud milestones, exciting challenges, and plenty of reasons to smile. Whether celebrating at our Pre-School and Year 6 Graduations, putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test on Enterprise Day or giving it their all at today’s Swimming Gala, our pupils have demonstrated the enthusiasm, confidence and team spirit that make our Junior School so special.

These moments are a wonderful reflection of the spirit of our Junior School community, and we can't wait to see what the final week of term has in store. 💙✨

Prom is always a special milestone, and this year's celebration was no exception. Every arrival told its own story, from limousines and police cars to tractors and handmade cardboard go-karts pushed through the gates by friends.

Inside, the celebrations continued with music, dancing, photos, friendly competition at the casino table, and countless conversations between friends. It was a chance to celebrate not only the end of an important chapter, but the friendships and memories that have made the journey so special.

These photographs capture more than just an evening, but a year group full of character, kindness, and unforgettable moments. We hope our Year 11 pupils look back on Prom 2026 with fond memories for many years to come. 💙
