Year 4 Teeth & Digestion 🦷🦬

Our Year 4 scientists got their teeth into some brilliant learning. They explored how human teeth start the digestion journey, why incisors, canines, and molars all have different jobs, and how animals’ teeth are shaped by what they eat.

The children compared animal skulls, sketched tooth types, and investigated how chewing kick‑starts the whole digestive system. Proper hands‑on science that makes learning stick.

🏭 How the Peppered Moth Told the Story of the Industrial Revolution

Year 6 created these beautiful moth books to show how the peppered moth evolved during the Industrial Revolution.
When pollution darkened buildings and trees with soot, the moth’s appearance shifted darker too, helping it stay camouflaged.
And here’s the twist: since the Clean Air Acts improved air quality, the moth has lightened again. Nature doesn’t just adapt... it keeps receipts.
