Today we had a wonderful visit from ‘Mill Cottage Farm Experience’ to Wallisdean
Our Pre-School children absolutely loved their time at the farm and were so engaged throughout the visit. They listened carefully to the farmer, followed the rules and were really hands-on, showing care, kindness and curiosity to all animals.

A big thank you to all the staff Mill Cottage Farm Experience for making the day so enjoyable.

Last week, the children joined the Federation in celebrating Science Day. They were invited to come to school dressed as scientists and took part in a range of exciting, hands-on activities. Throughout the day, the children explored different scientific concepts, including investigating which objects are attracted to magnets and discovering which materials sink or float. They also carried out experiments to see whether their fingers could stay dry using cinnamon and water, observed “magic caterpillars” that wriggled when water was added, and enjoyed mixing cornflour to create different textures
The children also visited the junior school, where they joined the Year R children to watch a fantastic and engaging science show.

Remembrance day 2025

Today we held a Nursery Rhyme ‘Stay & play’ to end our rhyme topic. The children enjoyed showing their parent/carer around the Pre-School & garden and took part in lots of exciting activities together. Thank you to all the parents/carers who came along to share in these special times.
