Following the children’s interest in pirates, we set up a pirate-themed tray to extend their learning and imagination.

The children shared pirate stories, counted treasure, and created their own exciting pirate adventures. It was wonderful to see their creativity, communication, and early maths skills develop through play!

One child proudly said, β€œI love pirates because they find treasure and go on adventures!” πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ’°πŸ“–

We were delighted to be invited to visit a new play park with our friends from Dawn's * Little Stars * Childminding & Bluebell Childminding, Locks Heath today! 🌳😊 πŸ›

The children had a wonderful time exploring, playing, and discovering new outdoor experiences together.

Outdoor learning supports many EYFS benefits, including developing physical skills, building confidence, encouraging communication and language, and promoting social interactions through cooperative play.

Thank you for introducing us to a new play park – we can't wait to visit again! πŸ’š

What a wonderful day strawberry picking with the children, searching for the ripest, sweetest berries straight from the field! πŸ“

As well as having lots of fun, the experience supported many areas of learning within the EYFS, including developing communication and language through conversations about the fruit, strengthening physical skills through picking and exploring, and encouraging understanding of the world by learning where food comes from and celebrating our areas strawberry heritage.

One of the children even arrived perfectly dressed for the occasion in their strawberry-themed shoes, which brought lots of smiles and excitement to our adventure! πŸ“πŸ‘Ÿ

A fantastic hands-on learning experience and a lovely morning shared with our friends from Bluebell Childminding, Locks Heath & Dawn's * Little Stars * Childminding

Today the children wanted to learn about our oceans and the deep sea 🌊 πŸͺΈπŸͺΌπŸ¦‘πŸ™πŸ³πŸ‘

So with a submarine made out of paper and milk cartons, an ocean with the animals, a coral reef with beads and hair decorations from around the house and even some gooey οΏΌseaweed.

We had an amazing time swimming through coral reefs, mixing and squishing the seaweed and loved meeting some new watery friends along the way.

When it’s been a wet and windy afternoon & you have lots of energy- what do you all do ?

It’s quite surprising how many moves the younger children know & how proud they are to show their friends

Children learn to recognise what their bodies need to stay healthy and happy. Developing this awareness supports their independence, wellbeing, and ability to make healthy choices as they grow.

New adventures await our friend - what a great goodbye party πŸŽ‰

Today, we said a fond farewell to one of our little ones who is heading off on a sunny new adventure! We celebrated with a brilliant leaving party full of laughter, where we played pass the parcel, wobbled through musical bumps, and even managed to pin the ice cream to the cone. Seedlings Childminding, SJP Childminding, Dawn's * Little Stars * Childminding.

We had such a wonderful time sending them off in style. We will miss you so much and wish you the absolute best in your sunny new home!
