It’s been great welcoming our Sweet Peas back this week. It’s crazy how much I miss them during the holidays, and I’m always so surprised by how much they’ve grown and developed in this time. These two Sweet Peas have previously attended on different days to each other, but their first day together they became the best of friends! 🥰

Summer Club! Today we had such a simple but lovely day! We took our potion bottles, colanders, bowls, cups and watering cans to the woodland stream and played for hours, learning about floating and sinking, capacity and current, as well as using our imaginations, fine and gross motor skills. We were lucky enough to get up close to a red admiral butterfly. On our way home we found so many ripe raspberries, we just had to pick them.

When it comes to one of our Sweet Pea’s last day, they decide what we are going to do for that day. For one of our Sweet Pea’s, she wanted to visit the church, taking food for other people, and then play at the park across the road! We donate food to this church collection regularly, and the children really enjoy going inside the church. I love that she chose to do this on her last day! tiney

And another goodbye! It’s amazing how much this Sweet Pea has developed over the last year, crawling to walking, gurgles to sentences and so much more. I will miss seeing that gorgeous smile first thing in the morning. Keep smiling and embrace your inquisitive nature. I’m sure you will be a famous inventor one day. We look forward to hearing about your adventures at your new setting.

How is it time for this fun loving Sweet Pea to move on? So many wonderful times with you. I feel so lucky to have been entrusted to care for you. You are simply amazing and you’re going to absolutely ace school. Your caring nature, thoughtfulness and wonderful sense of humour will take you far. Whenever I set up a sensory or messy activity, I will think of you! I’m keeping the tears back by knowing you will still come to our holiday clubs and special events. This is not goodbye my gorgeous girl. 💕

Saying goodbye is the hardest part of this job, and there are three Sweet Peas moving on this week 💔. I have so many wonderful memories of this Sweet Pea and it’s been wonderful and a privilege to see him gain confidence and flourish. You are kind, thoughtful and funny. There is never a dull moment when you are around. We will miss you terribly, but it’s not goodbye. With your sister still being a Sweet Pea, I fully expect to see much more of you our wonderful boy.
