Angling-School, a community interest company, has donated this AED to First Aid in Focus. As they are registered with Good Sam, they will be able to respond to a sudden cardiac arrest in their vicinity if required by the ambulance service.

Fully Funded Angling Coaching Academy in Cornwall
Are you an angler (coarse, game or sea) who already works or volunteers (or wishes to) within education, with youth or in the community? This Dreamstore Academy will enable you to develop your angling coaching skills to work with young people, vulnerable adults, parents, disabled, or other social groups. This Level 2 Coaching Qualification is ideal for teachers, youth or support workers and members of angling clubs and societies.
Dreamstore Academy is an accredited delivery centre for the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) offering two units in coaching angling, mapped to UKCC outcome standards. Uniquely it offers a Coaching Disability Module and a first aid qualification.
This Level 2 qualification has been used to expand or initiate programmes and projects, which are many and varied; addressing disability, cultural diversity, adult education, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, families, and ex-servicemen.
Dreamstore UK has supported a number of its graduates in the development of local projects or programmes. The impressive social outcomes from Dreamstore Academy shows the benefit of coaching to a wide selection of projects, programmes and activities.
This Fully Funded Coaching Academy will run in September and October.

Requirements
• Dreamstore Academy candidates should be over 18 years old.
• This course is a coaching course. Candidates are required to have an essential knowledge of angling in their chosen discipline of sea, coarse or game angling.
• This is an accredited qualification, not an attendance course.
• Candidates must complete a questionnaire before registration. Once completed successful candidates will be invited to join the Dreamstore Coaching Academy
There are a limited number of places on a first come, first served basis.

Mike's Mullet Mania was finally fished. Best day in three years and two mullet caught. Big thanks to Mike and Rob for leading the session for seven of the Mounts Bay juniors.
Next session is on Newlyn Pier on Sunday 12 August from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Will the mackerel be in?

Michael came third this afternoon, narrowly missing out on first place with his last fish escaping his net at the last moment. What a great weekend we have all had absolutely amazing. Hard afternoon fishing, boiling and extremely windy.
