Emotional post incoming…🩷

Today was one of those mornings where my cup was overflowing 🥰 a full circle moment where my student is now the teacher entering her first set of students for their Rambert Grades Contemporary exam. So proud of Poppy, she’s a truly lovely teacher. Spot the photo of Poppy on her Grade 5 Modern exam day, when the iconic Heather Rees spoke to me about her talent and that she had something truly special.

Onto Chloe, Lucinda and Tanesha. Three very different dancers but equally beautiful to watch. They smashed it out of the park today, it was a privilege to watch them. Shoutout to Rosie and Ava too, they have also worked really hard on Thursdays and I can’t wait to see them continue to grow as dancers.

To top it all off I bumped into my ex-student Lana Talbot in the Sports Hub. Love her! We had a great natter, funny because I had just spoken to Poppy about how bereft I feel at the end of summer term as senior students fly the nest. But then you see them again and have the joy of re-connecting.

Privileged to do what I do and I never take it for granted 🩷

Appreciation Post 🩷🩷🩷
Firstly, well done to all my students that came to class this week and danced their socks off in this beautiful (but very hot) weather. I expected an empty studio so it’s been lovely that so many still made it in. For those that didn’t I completely understand, this time of year gets pretty hectic in the school calendar.
Secondly, we had 100% attendance at todays mock exams 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you 🙏🏻 The mocks are one of the highlights of my calendar as it’s so wonderful to see the culmination of everyone’s hard work. You all smashed it and deserve to do well next Sunday.
I pinched some of Miss Nicki’s photos, in usual fashion I forgot to take any myself sorry 🫣

Our little car park outside the studio will be full of contractor vans this week as they are fixing the sports hall roof 😁 Still lots of parking up by the Sports Hub or in front of the school 🚘 Remember to bring water bottles, sunshine won’t stop us dancing, we will just go steady 🩷
