Falmouth Marine School Spring Barbecue - Thursday 25th May 2023.
Wow what an amazing event. Nat Forder-Jackett our amazing Caterer in the Sails Cafe organised, with the Support of the Student Experience Team and the LSEC at Falmouth, a Spring Barbecue to replace the Prom which unfortunately had to be Cancelled. Nigel Philips LSP/Technician Engineering, was also on hand as always to help and support. A massive thank you also to Sue Selwyn and Nat Theobold who worked alongside us to ensure we provided a good event for all the students. The afternoon, was full of GREAT food, awards, games and the Stocks, soaking the Teacher, which proved popular. Many thanks also to all the students that got involved to lend a hand, setting up, serving and cleaning down.

The college are redeveloping a mental health working group for staff and students, to carry out tasks in making The Cornwall College Group more effective when supporting mental wellbeing. It will be a college wide approach to improving mental health outcomes for our college.
We would really like some of our amazing students to input into the meetings. You would help to shape how we recognise and move forward with mental wellbeing in college. We all want to have a positive impact in new ways to support everyone, the student voice is really important to enable us to make any new plans really effective.

THE EASTER PAINT
The Cove has had a revamp. This shows the dedication of some of our students that gave up their own time in the Easter Holidays to come in and paint the SU at Falmouth. Many thanks to Summer- Vice Chair of the LSEC, Winton (nominee for all positions on the CCSU) and Winton's French Exchange student Naomi who have done an amazing job at bringing in some colour to what was a bland coloured room. Also a MASSIVE thanks to Leanne (Estates - St Austell) who donated the paint to us from St Austell's Paint Store and made this possible for us to achieve. The introduction of the colours also brings us in line with some of the other unions across the Corporation who have used similar colours, so we have some consistency amongst the spaces, yet with our own site personal touches. Many thanks to everyone that made this possible and the students for giving up their own time.

Well done to our Falmouth Marine School students π€©π€©π€© fantastic, many congratulations.
