🎨 CREATIVE VOLUNTEER WANTED! ✂️

Do you love crafting, designing and coming up with creative ideas for young children?

We’re looking for a volunteer to help us design and organise a full year of engaging craft activities for children aged 2–5.

Using our laptop and Cricut machine, you’ll help:

🌈 Develop simple, age-appropriate craft ideas
🍂 Include seasonal themes, celebrations and special occasions
💻 Create templates and Cricut designs
📅 Organise the activities into a practical year-round plan
📝 Prepare materials lists and clear instructions for our team

We would ideally love someone who can come into Polmont Playgroup on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9am and 5pm. However, please get in touch if you have relevant skills but require some flexibility.

This would be perfect for someone who enjoys crafting, graphic design, early-years activities or using Cricut Design Space—and wants to make a lasting difference to our children’s experiences.

All equipment will be provided.

We’re delighted to welcome Lynn's little Ones childminding service to Polmont Playgroup each week! 🧸💛

Lynn is a local childminder who uses our venue as part of the varied experiences she provides for the children in her care. Having access to a spacious, child-friendly environment gives little ones room to play, explore, socialise and enjoy a change of scenery—all within a welcoming local setting.

Did you know that our building isn’t only used for Polmont Playgroup sessions and birthday parties?

We also offer regular weekly lets to local groups, activity providers and organisations looking for a consistent base in the community. Our venue could be suitable for:

🎨 Children’s classes and activities
👶 Parent and baby groups
🧸 Childminders and childcare groups
💛 Family or community support services
🏃 Clubs, workshops and wellbeing sessions

We currently have some space available for new regular lets. If you run a local service or activity and think Polmont Playgroup could become your weekly home, we’d love to hear from you.

Our two Rag Bins (wee Danny and big Arne) are full (and emptied) every fortnight thanks to you! This not only helps us fundraise but also saves clothing and material from landfill thus helping the environment.

Polmont Playgroup is taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on Sunday 13 September 2026.

Our playleaders, volunteers & trustees have registered for the 21-mile Mighty Stride from Holyrood Park to Murrayfield Stadium, raising funds to support Polmont Playgroup’s work with children, families and the wider community.

Approximately 500 visits are made to our building every week. Fundraising like this helps us protect and improve our community facility, maintain affordable activities and continue providing welcoming opportunities for local families.
