It's time to announce our election results! 🎉
SP: Martin Podhorsky (returning SP)
VP: Alisa Tkachenko (new VP)
Congratulations to our winners! 👏 To everyone who participated in the election, showed interest, or voted, we also extend our thanks to you for supporting the team in selecting our SP and VP for 26-27- thank you for letting your student voice be heard 😊
I would also like to pass on a message from our current vice president, who is stepping down from the role this year.
A message from Monika Smith, Current VP:
As your Vice President, it has been a pleasure working with you and supporting our FVSA Team.
I have enjoyed my time in this role. I want to be able to continue as vice president, but I am excited to be starting my HNC childcare course. This will have a placement, meaning I cannot continue as VP.
Today, I am so happy to welcome our new Vice President and our Student President.
I wish them the very best in their role, and I know they will bring new ideas and energy to the team.
I am looking forward to working with you as a student ambassador.
-- Monika Smith - Student Vice President, 25-26

Forth Valley Student Association are thrilled to announce our shortlisted candidates for the 2026 Student Awards.
We would first like to send out a massive thank you to everyone who put someone forward for the awards. We've loved reading about the impact that these people have had on you, and it's been amazing to see the amount of dedication and kindness that goes into every day at our college.
We'd also like to thank our wonderful panellists who had the difficult job of sorting through a record-breaking number of nominations. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and perseverance in creating this shortlist.
Importantly, we'd like to thank our sponsors who have generously helped to make these awards happen. We wouldn't be able to deliver this event without them, and we are truly grateful for their support.
We would also like to take a moment to recognise everyone who was nominated. Many nominees may not even know that someone took the time to put them forward, and we hope this announcement serves as a reminder of the positive impact you're having on those around you. The standard of nominations this year was incredibly high and the shortlisting panel has many difficult decisions to make.
Please see the shortlisting announcement in this post 🎉
