⛵💙Chilling, Sailing & Making Memories at Lochore Meadows Country Park💙⛵

Brilliant day our residents had at Lochore Meadows Country Park. Sometimes you just can't beat getting away from it all, enjoying the fresh air, taking in the beautiful surroundings and, of course, getting out on the water⛵🌿

there was plenty time for chilling, chatting and enjoying the scenery before setting sail for another fantastic experience on the loch💙 and as always with Carrondale adventures, we didn't come home empty-handed... we brought back plenty of stories to tell😂🥰

Another day out, another adventure and lots more memories made along the way ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone at Lochore Meadows Country Park for a fantastic day and to everyone who helped make it possible👏🏻 Fife Sailability !

❤️Back Where She Belonged🍬

I don't think any of us will forget today - a few weeks ago, I asked Cathie a simple question. "If I could grant you one wish, what would it be?" She looked at me and, without a second's thought, said... "to be back at McCowans." Those words never left me. How do you take someone back to a place that no longer exists?

Well, thanks to Mhairi McAinsh we managed to source the one and only McCowans 1957 Albion delivery van still in existence.

This afternoon we waited outside, nobody really knew how Cathie would react. Then, in the distance, we caught sight of the van driving along Beaumont Drive, as the van got closer, Jack piped the van towards Carrondale... time seemed to stop.

Cathie came outside, super excited as always, looked up... and for a few seconds didn't say a word but the tears were visible. She opened her arms, walked over to the van and kissed it. She didn't see an old van, she saw the young woman who went to work every morning; she was seeing friends who had become family, she was seeing factory life, tea breaks, conversations, familiar faces and a life that had shaped who she is.

For those precious moments... Cathie was home!

As the stories began to flow between Cathie, Marane and Janet, it felt as though we had all been invited into one of the happiest chapters of Cathie's life.

Cathie, you reminded us that reminiscence isn't about looking backwards, it's about helping someone reconnect with a piece of themselves they thought had been lost forever. She didn't revisit a memory... today she lived it!

To Marane and Janet... thank you for giving your friend such an incredible gift.

To Jack... thank you for making an already special moment unforgettable.

To George... thank you for preserving a piece of history that meant the world to one very special lady.

And Cathie... thank you for trusting us with your wish. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone isn't something new... it's the chance to hold yesterday in our arms, just one more time ❤️ Marane Bell Mhairi McAinsh !

🥊🏅Our Commonwealth Games Journey Begins!🥌🎯

With the Commonwealth Games now underway, it feels like the perfect time to look back at a very special project we shared with the fantastic Sports Department at Larbert High School before the summer holidays. We planned a series of activities inspired by the Games, and this was where it all began!

Our residents had a brilliant time trying boxing, punch pad challenges, curling and boccia (okay, so boccia isn't a Commonwealth Games sport... but it definitely deserved a place at Carrondale). There was plenty of determination, encouragement and friendly competition as everyone gave each activity a go in their own way.

A huge thank you to the staff and pupils at Larbert High for making this project such a success. We had the best time, and this is just the beginning... there's plenty more to come🏅💙 !

🚤💙Cruising Through Memories💙🚤

Yesterday we enjoyed another lovely day with our friends at the Seagull Trust Cruises- Falkirk.☀️🌿

There was something so peaceful about being out on the water, taking in the scenery and passing places that were so familiar to many of us. The conversation naturally turned to favourite dog walking routes, local landmarks and memories of days spent around the area. It was one of those outings where you could see just how much familiar surroundings can mean❤️

And believe it or not... after all the canal trips we've been lucky enough to enjoy over the years, yesterday brought a first... we met two gentlemen in a canoe 🚣🏻‍♂️🤣 they gave us a friendly wave as they paddled past, much to everyone's delight. It certainly added an unexpected highlight to te afternoon!

A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers at the Seagull Trust Cruises- Falkirk. for another fantastic outing. Fresh air, stunning scenery, familiar places and a few unexpected moments... sometimes that's all it takes to make a day really special 💙 Seagull Trust Cruises- Falkirk. !

🤠🎶Lockdown to Hoedown... WOW!💃🏻🕺🏻❤️

What a night... where do we even begin?!🤩

The Bo'ness Belles absolutely brought the house down with their Lockdown to Hoedown performance, and honestly... it was one of the best evenings we've ever had❤️

As I stood watching everyone, I just kept thinking, this is what it's all about. Residents were dancing in the middle of the floor, dancing from their chairs, singing, sharing song folders with the Belles... and just completely caught up in the moment. It was impossible not to smile watching it all unfold💃🏻🕺🏻

There wasn't a corner of the room that wasn't buzzing. Everyone joined in, and the Belles somehow made every person in the room feel part of the evening... because everyone belonged❤️ to our amazing friends, the Bo'ness Belles... thank you. You don't just come in and perform, you build relationships, you make people feel special and you create moments that mean far more than words can say. We honestly can't thank you enough for another unforgettable evening. You're simply the best, and we're currently counting down the days until we see you again🤠❤️Bo'ness Belles !

🖋️💙Jamie's Wish💙🖋️

A few weeks ago, we helped make one of Jamie's personal wishes a reality... a trip into Falkirk for a tattoo✨

This wasn't just about getting ink. It was about choice, independence and supporting something that was important to Jamie. Seeing the smile on his face at the end of the day made every bit of planning worthwhile.

At Carrondale, meaningful moments look different for everyone, and we're proud to help make them happen💙 !
