RE-EMERGING
2 years postpartum I feel like I’m only just re-emerging………..popping my head up and wondering where I am and who I am 👀
7 months after returning to fully freelance I’m starting to find the time and space to get curious about what work I want to be doing and trying to make that happen ✨
Thanks to and for hosting a beautiful morning on The Choreography of Parenting.
It was so amazing to be in a room with others sharing the challenges, frustrations, and joys of balancing caring responsibilities and creativity.

The early days with a wee one can be quite isolating so it’s amazing to hear how much these classes can support wellbeing and connection ❤️
We’ve had lots of people returning to work recently so there’s a few spaces in class:

SPRING BREAK 🌱🌼
Having a few weeks off from my Saturday dance and Thursday Pilates 🤩
Still on with only a couple of days covered.
It can be hard to find the balance of time off when you are fully self-employed but delighted to be able to slow down a little and still keep some classes on.
Using this extra time to find other ways of play, creativity and calm with Leo and 🎨 ✨ We’re also getting outside whenever we can and catching up with other friends and family ❤️
How are you adding a little lightness and brightness to these Spring days?☀️

Late to the party but turning 40 this year means I’ve been reflecting on the past decade a wee bit. ⏳
That year:
Left a relationship and became a lodger 🏡
Work was mostly teaching dance: for my own adult classes, nurseries, dance schools, hen parties, North Edinburgh Arts and twice a month on Arran. 💃👯🪩
I also was a temporary lecturer with Glasgow Clyde College acting students.
Yearly adventures running Spiegeltent Front of House at Norfolk and Norwich Festival.🎪
Took myself to Barcelona for Simonson Method of Teacher Training.
Turned 30 🥳
Did excellent dating research to find what I was looking for 😉
Fringe madness with the fabulous Hustle Dance Troupe.
Lots of hen parties, weddings, birthdays and other special and ordinary moments with gorgeous friends ❤️
Met and had lots of fun and motor home adventures! Fell in love 🥰
Some of my work days sound exhausting but then that Hayley probably had a full night of sleep. She had lots of exciting, spontaneous times that I can’t imagine in my current season of life and could probably stay up past 9.30 😂
So much had happened since then and im delighted at where this decade has brought me 🤩
Bring on 40!!!

Tiny wins for January ✨
January is still deep winter and motivation might be hibernating 🐻. If you’re feeling a bit slow, a bit stiff, or just not quite ready for anything intense yet - that’s completely normal.
Lunchtime Pilates is here for exactly that.
It’s 45 minutes in the middle of your day to gently move your body, shake off that winter stiffness, and actually feel a bit more alive for the afternoon. No “new year new you” pressure - just mindful movement that meets you where you are.
