ππ The time has come for me to begin the wind down of my tuition services π₯Ί
It has been a very, very difficult decision to make as I have loved every second of being able to support local children over the last few years and it has been a privilege getting to know and support the families that have crossed into my little classroom π
β It is not goodbye just yet! I still have children working with me, but I have closed my waiting list and will be referring new children onto another fabulous local tutor (details to follow).
Hopefully in the future, there may be opportunities for me to continue providing support on a smaller scale, but for now, my own two monsters need me at home after school, so my hours of work will be reducing over time as current children finish with me.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my small local business in so many ways over the years and made it such a success - it honestly surpassed any of my expectations. Your support allowed me to be the teacher I wanted to be, to your children, but also the mummy I needed to be to my own children too and I will be forever grateful for this ππππ
Love,
Miss T π

Tutoring has given me so much over the last few years including:
πTime with my young children,
πThe opportunity to earn extra income,
πA chance to develop my knowledge and skills in Learning Support and specific difficulties,
πA sense of achievement and reward watching children make progress,
πThe opportunity to REALLY 'bridge the gap',
πand the chance to build a vast resource bank which I also use in school/on supply days.
I could go on and on! π
Demand for Primary Tuition is extremely high just now and there are opportunities for Primary Tutors local to the Falkirk and Polmont area.
If this is something that you could be interested in please get in touch for more information, it really has given me my passion for teaching back, it may be the next best thing for you too! ππ

COOL TRICK TO HELP YOUR CHILD WITH PENCIL GRIP
If your child struggles with pencil grasp, here is a good trick to try at home. It's easy and all you need is a clothes pin.

Syllables are a brilliant tool when learning to read and spell and lots of children chunk words into syllables without even realising what skill they are using.
However, lots of people (including adults), don't fully understand why or where syllables are split - it is almost automatic when chunking words and it can be difficult to explain to a little one who is finding the skill tricky. In class we always use our 'Robot Voice' to help us to hear the different syllables in words.
The link below is a video from Nessy that explains just how to split words into syllables and also explains why words such as 'he', 'we' and 'me' sound phonetically different.
Happy spelling! π
