Piano parents, be your child’s greatest cheerleader 📣🎉

When your child comes into your office or the kitchen where you’re vacuuming the floor and wants to show you something they’re passionate about—
a dance move,
a gymnastic trick,
a basketball skill they mastered,
or a painting they were working on for hours,
anything—
make sure to stop what you’re doing and watch them.

I remember when I was little, and I’d come into the kitchen after practicing a soccer skill.

My mom would stop making dinner to watch.

When I was done, my chest would relax at my mom's pleased smile. She'd clap her hands together, her hair moving side to side with excitement. Her enthusiasm made me want to practice more. To keep doing what I loved at the time.

If something matters to our children, it’s important they see it matters to us.

How we react means everything. It will either make them keep trying or give up. It’s our choice.

Happy Piano Day! The piano has 88 keys so we celebrate all things piano on the 88th day of the year, which is today (a day earlier this year as it’s a leap year) How will you celebrate?

27/01/2024

Today we celebrate the music of Mozart, born 27th January 1756. Mr. Mozart is our studio mascot, and he came back from Isla’s with this little poem in his journal:
“Melodies of Mozart”
In a world of music, he did shine,
Mozart, a genius, so divine.
With melodies that touched the soul,
His music made our spirits whole

From a young age, he showed his skill,
Composing symphonies with a thrill,
His piano played with grace and flair,
Bringing joy to all who heard him there.

His music danced with joyful glee,
Like birds singing in a symphony,
So let’s celebrate Mozart’s art,
A maestro who touched every heart.
