𝗢𝗠𝗚... 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝙁𝙐𝙉𝘿𝙍𝘼𝙄𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗦! 🙌

Our fundraising this year has already raised thousands of pounds, and it’s fantastic to see the momentum continuing!

After our brilliant Ben Nevis team smashed their challenge last month, we now have more amazing PT students, families and volunteers taking on challenges of their own.

😱 Junior Youth Theatre and Screen School student Eyvie and her mum are taking a leap of faith on the Highland Fling at Killiecrankie in September, with Artistic Director Jamie also taking on the Ultimate Swing!

🚴 Senior Youth Theatre student Ryan, along with Valerie Tattersall, one of our fantastic volunteers, and cycling enthusiast daughter Gemma, are taking on their own Pedal for PT cycling challenge.

We’re incredibly grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting Project Theatre.

But did you know that just ONE of our amazing full scale public productions can cost up to £30,000 to put on... and this year we have TWO! That’s before the ongoing running costs of keeping Project Theatre going throughout the year too.

Every penny raised helps secure PT’s future, supporting opportunities for young people to build confidence, creativity and skills through theatre, while helping us continue to grow our programmes.

More big well dones to our students performing and having fun at the Fringe!🎭

Brilliant to be back yesterday in Edinburgh supporting more of our PT family for more fantastic shows.

🐸🐱 Senior students Valerie and Faye were both brilliant in Honk JR! Faye was fabulous in her singing as the perfectly devilish Cat trying to eat poor Ugly and Valerie showed amazing physicality and commitment to character particularly as one of the frogs but also playing several roles with lots of quick costume changes. Both brought so much energy and fun to the show we absolutely loved it and definitely a show we'd like to do in future.

🎶 Sylvie, our Assistant Musical Director, was brilliant in her production of Sunshine on Leith, performing to a huge sold-out audience at the beautiful Assembly Music Hall venue and taking on her biggest audience yet with such confidence and energy. Yes, it works. I’d just smooth it slightly:

We wanted to get up there with you and that fantastic company, including some fantastic Falkirk and Bo’ness bairns, well-kent faces and friends Hazel and Sandy in leading roles!

It was lovely to see Faye, Valerie and Sylvie’s proud parents there supporting, including Donna, our School of Rock Costume Designer, A big well done to all the Fringe parents working just as hard behind the scenes to make it all possible. With plenty more Fringe performances still to go, while also preparing for School of Rock and heading back to school at the same time, students, parents, staff and volunteers are seriously putting in a shift! 👏

We hope everyone performing, working and visiting has lots of fun at the Fringe over the next few weeks and apologies for my closed eyes in one of the photos… the sun was absolutely blinding. You could say there was a little too much Sunshine on Leith! 😂☀️

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐘𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐃 | 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 🎬

We had a fantastic day filming on location for our Screen School short film The Path Dyed Red today. After several delays with weather, things are really starting to come together!

Our cast were absolutely fantastic, throwing themselves into every scene and helping us capture some brilliant moments in the woods. 👏

With fantastic make-up, prosthetics, costumes and props, the characters are really coming to life. Combined with our atmospheric locations and some gorgeous shots, it’s all helping to create exactly the strange, dark fairytale world we’ve been aiming for.

These are only a little behind-the-scenes glimpse with more to come… 👀

We cannot wait to start sharing some more sneak peeks from the footage and visuals because there are some seriously beautiful and wonderfully creepy shots coming together. ✨

A huge well done and thank you to cast and crew involved today. Another big chunk of our little film in the can amd we can’t wait to work on more with the rest of the cast! 🎥
