A simple white t-shirt might seem basic but it’s actually one of the hardest-working pieces in your wardrobe.

You can wear it on its own, under a blazer, layered with knitwear - the options are endless. That’s exactly why it’s worth investing in quality rather than just going for the cheapest option.

A great t-shirt should hold its shape, feel good on your skin, and stand up to constant washing and wear. So, I'd suggest looking for styles high in cotton for comfort and durability like these.

Found this little gem in - it should work for lots of different body shapes, it's only £22 AND it has pockets! Dress it up or down with sandals, heels, trainers or ballet flats.

Tip: If you prefer a little extra arm coverage, layer with a cropped jacket/cardi or even a lightweight jumper draped over your shoulders will give you a bit of coverage.
