Arria Music

Arria Music began in 2023 with BBC Folk hit "Siren Of Iris: The Voice Of The Beginning." Arria's muses are often mythical messengers. Arria Music began in 2023.

Born from both Scottish place and inner journey, weaving songs memory and imagination into shared experience. A Scottish Folk/Electronica blend with strong Celtic vocals and powerful lyrics by renowned "great songsmith" Kirsty Heggie, known for performances at Celtic Connections and beyond as well as organising Grassroots pop-up events in Edinburgh and Falkirk. Backed by producer and multi-instrumentalist
John Coletta known from 90s Folkabilly/Punk band Humpff family that received worldwide recognition as "Cajun Celtic" and alternative Bluegrass. Co-producer Adam Holmes has called Kirsty "The Kate Bush of the modern Folk scene". Arria collaborates with other musicians and moves fluidly through various genres including Soul/Spiritual, Country, Hip-Hop and Spoken word. Inspired by local businesses, arts and all Scotland has to offer - the music offers an abundant response to the land and people - with songs referencing local businesses, people, and tourist sites and the need to look after our souls, our family, community and Mother Earth. The music reflects an open-minded, Spiritual and Socialist element, with under currents of Kirsty's journey from Intuitive Magic into Celtic Christianity

I stumbled upon an absolute gem today, the oldest church in Scotland complete with Sarcophagus and standing stones.
Accompanied by my Trip Hop, Rap tune featuring rap from one of Edinburgh's finest Folk singers Adam Holmes and my stream of consciousness Folky tones and floaty Funky dance moves.
