📢 Is your child turning 2 before 31 August 2026?

You may be eligible for 15 hours of funded early education and childcare from 1 September 2026 if you or if your child receive certain government benefits:

✅You get Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
✅ Is a child in care or a child in need
✅ Has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
✅ Receives Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

A few months ago, we had a special delivery from Wells-next-the-sea Mens Shed. They made us two beautiful mud kitchens to replace our old much loved one. We really appreciate your help - thank you! wellsnexttheseamensshed.weebly.com/

Needless to say, the children are really enjoying the experiences they get from playing and exploring in that area.

Here are some of the comments that were made by the children:
H - 'That's cool'
L - 'My favourite - I've got one at grandad'

P - 'I really like that'
M - 'Mmmmm'

There are so many schemes and age bands, it can feel like a maze. Here’s a quick, friendly guide to help:
✨ From 9 months old – Some working parents can now get funded hours.
✨ From age 2 – More families qualify, including some on certain benefits.
✨ From age 3–4 – Every child gets 15 hours of funded childcare, and working parents could get up to 30!
A few things to remember:
📅 Funding starts the term after your child’s birthday.
🕒 You’ll need to apply before the term starts (31 March, 31 August, 31 December are the key dates).
💰 You can even combine funding with Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit to make it go further.
It’s all designed to make returning to work, or just catching a breather a bit easier!

Little Snoring Pre-school has limited spaces available for children aged from 2 up to 5 years old. We accept funding for 30 hours, Tax Free Childcare and 2 Year funding, alongside the universal 15 hours funding.
