Southannan School For of the students of the past that went to Southannan Residential School up to the time it had closed between 1994 and 1996

Southannan is built a short way away from the ruins of Southannan Castle, a former seat of the Semphill family. Originally Underbank House, it was remodelled to become Southannan for Captain and Lady Sophia Montgomerie. The earliest part of the house is thought to date from the late 18th or early 19th century with the rest circa 1840-60. The house has now been converted into flats. But this used t

o be a residential school possibly in the 1980's but definately in the early 1990's til about 1994 where the students got transferred to Seafield School near Adrossen
