Farmor’s School 2026 Year 11 achieve best ever GCSE results.

Students at Farmor’s School in Fairford celebrated achieving outstanding GCSE results today - the school's best ever results. Exam outcomes at Farmor's are usually well above the national average, but this year students further improved on the previous excellent record:

• 66% of students achieved both Mathematics and English GCSEs at grade 5 or above
• 80% of students achieved both Mathematics and English GCSEs at grade 4 or above
• 31% of all grades were 7 and above

There was excitement and celebration as students collected their results and we look forward to welcoming most of them back into our thriving and popular Sixth Form for the next stage of their studies.

Headteacher Mark Surowiec stated:

We are delighted that our Year 11 students have achieved record high results in their GCSEs and other qualifications this year. Their excellent outcomes reflect years of hard work on the part of students and staff, and of course the commitment of their families who support them so well. We’re hugely proud of them and we wish them all the best for their next steps. The school and governors would like to thank all those in our school community who have helped students achieve these grades. We can't wait to see them return to join our Sixth Form in September.

Y8 Arts Award Day - Collaborative mosaic

Every Year 8 student contributed to a collaborative mosaic inspired by their own ideas about what is important to them at Farmor's. Friendship emerged as a particularly strong theme, reflected in the mosaic's border of small stick figures holding hands, symbolising the connections between students and how their experiences of learning, the arts, sport, and school life bring them together.

The students showed fantastic creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day, and the finished piece will be a wonderful reminder of their time at Farmor's. Thank you to all the staff who supported the workshop and helped make it such a positive experience for our Year 8 students.

Full closure due to Red Weather Warning - Revised Plans

Farmor's School will be fully closed to students on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June.

We will reopen on Friday 26th June. Students can continue to wear their PE kit on Friday, even if they do not have a lesson.

This decision has been made for the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

What an amazing start to the week! Thank you to Twinkl for approving our community collection application and awarding us a Peter’s book bundle, a fantastic selection of brand new books worth £200.
