Our first full week of term has come to a close. This week we had our first assembly altogether where we went over our 5 school values: Respect, Relationships, Responsibility, Achievement and Inclusion. The children shared excellent examples of seeing these values in action this week.

We also got into the swing of routines and started some exciting new learning blocks. Look out for curriculum overviews coming next week with more details.

The children have had a great first few days of the new school session. We have been impressed with how well new and returning children have settled in to their new routines. 😁

Tennis open afternoon and tennis summer clubs!

Local coach Hazel Ward runs summer holiday tennis sessions at Duns, Berwick and Lennel (near Coldstream).
Each camp runs over two consecutive days with two hours of tennis skills and fun games each day.

Summer tennis camps 2026

9th & 10th July @ Duns tennis club
30th July & 31st July @ Duns tennis club

13th & 14th July @ Lennel tennis club
10th & 11th August @ Lennel tennis club

27th & 28th July @ Berwick tennis club
17th & 18th August @ Berwick tennis club

All 10am - 12 noon
£20 for the 2 day camp

Camp sessions are suitable for school aged children, 5-8 yrs and 9-13 yrs (kids will be put into age related groups). Fun games, tennis skills, team challenge relevant to age.

A HUGE well done to our 6 P6/7 pupils who took part in the Berwickshire Athletics Competition last night. Everyone demonstrated positive attitudes, great teamwork and sportsmanship. We are very proud of you all and can share we placed fourth in the small schools competition! Well done Team Reston!

Thank you so much to The Jim Clark Museum and Jim Clark Trust for enabling our P6s to have a fantastic morning looking around the museum and learning all about the life and legacy of Jim Clark. We had a brilliant time and our children were super ambassadors for our school.

We have returned home from the Primary 7 cluster residential and would like to share that all of the children were a credit to our school and worked well with others, challenging themselves and participating fully in all of the activities. The staff team who attended have been impressed by everyone and how well they all mixed with children from other schools. Thank you to all of the staff who attended the residential for giving the children an amazing few days away. An early bed for everyone tonight! 🌟
