An amazing achievement from 4 members of Willow class this week, they got through to the orienteering final in Stowmarket and came 2nd out of over 40 teams. Absolutely brilliant! We are so proud of you!

Today, we held our Road Safety Day. We all dressed in bright clothing to remind us to 'be bright, be seen'. Children in KS2 made safety helmets for eggs to remind us of the importance of wearing a helmet when cycling and scooting. Stuart Anderson of Suffolk Constabulary talked to all the children, and we were able to try on police jackets and hats. Our JRSOs had the chance to use a speed camera in front of the school. Last but not least, the children decorated traffic light cakes!

Ofsted have rated Thorndon a STRONG school!
A school where pupils thrive in their learning and wider development; with pupils who are extremely polite and considerate; where staff know their pupils very well and have clear routines and high expectations to ensure that every child succeeds.
Our community, children, families and staff all make this happen.
Let’s continue to shine in the Thorndon way ✨
