A reminder about sports day arrangements for tomorrow!

A couple of key points:
Please send children in with their own share of your 'picnic' in a clearly labelled lunch bag/box. This is in case the weather turns and we have to cancel events, so they will have lunch on site.

Only KS2 children need a coloured T-shirt.
EYFS / KS1 children are given a badge to wear for their house colours.

Please don't leave site early with your children without informing the Admin office, so we know that all our children are accounted for safely.

Have you checked your MCAS announcements recently?
We're now using MCAS to share the weekly newsletter and other messages with you.

Are you keeping an eye on your MCAS account for available trips?
We've been busy adding new trips for various year groups, or in some cases for selected student (eg Budleigh Music Festival) so remember to look out for trips or activities landing in your MCAS account.

Withyfest Tokens will be added ASAP (we're just waiting for the PTFA bank account to be added!) so you can soon purchase those using your app too.

We have improved our security arrangements for children who stay on site after school.

At after school pick up time, families collecting from the kitchen gate will continue to do this as usual. Once children have been collected, those gates will be locked to protect the children still on site.

Parents collecting from Fish after 3:10pm and before 4:15pm will need to arrive at reception (via the main school doors) and they will be given access to the school site by a member of staff.

Children attending other after school clubs and activities will be released by club providers from the kitchen gate when they finish at 4:15pm. This gate will then remain open for families collecting from Fish after 4:15pm.

A reminder for parents of children in EYFS/Year R.
It's the exciting Amazing Grazing trip tomorrow - Thursday 11th June!

(If there is an EYFS WhatsApp group please feel free to share!)

We have a number of children for whom we don't seem to have bookings yet (consent and/or payment) for this trip. If you haven't provided this, we've just sent you a text asking you to log into MCAS this evening if possible.

Thank you for your patience - this was one of the first trips we put onto the new system and we acknowledge that there have been teething problems! We've checked your MCAS accounts and the trip is showing under 'Available Trips' for your EYFS children.

If you open the available trips tab, and then click on the magnifying glass next to the trip header row, you can find the original letter informing you about the trip (along with information about what children need to bring etc.)

*Please ensure packed lunches do not contain nuts or nut products - this includes some snack bars and nutella spread for example*

The admin email account will be monitored this evening in case anyone has problems accessing the trip on MCAS and needs some help. Thank you very much, and we hope everyone has a lovely time!

I've looked at our end of the new system and can see that there are several contacts who have not activated their MCAS accounts to date. In case it helps, I have just sent all of those contacts a new activation link.

If you receive this email but you have activated your account (using a different email address for example), then please ignore the new email. If you have not yet activated an account, you have 24 hours to click through the link to set your account up. If this expires and you need a new one, please ask [email protected].

We're now using MCAS for dinner selections and breakfast club bookings, trips and events (both consent and payment where applicable), messaging and notifications (eg this week's newsletter will arrive in your MCAS app) and absence reporting. If you need any help with your app please ask.

Please could children wear the correct summer school uniform.

If it's usually your child's PE day, please can they also come to school in uniform with their PE kit in a labelled bag. Thank you.
