Adventurers March 📚

Last month we looked at stories and nursery rhymes as our theme. The children enjoyed getting to explore different activities relating to such as baking Gruffalo crumble, reading stories together and exploring messy play!

Story time!


Our Inventors children are developing their love for reading and enjoy getting to read independently as well as alongside their friends and the familiar grown ups! At ABC we encourage the reading of stories and the children love to read different types of books in lots of different places!

Recently the Adventurers at ABC enjoyed creating Valentine’s Day cards for the residents at a local care home. They then later had a great time getting to hand deliver the cards and meet the residents!

At ABC the children engaged in two Ramadan themed activities.

They crafted sun catchers shaped like crescent moons, stars, and lanterns; important symbols in Islam enjoying creative independence.

As well as this, they collaborated in an iftar-themed tray, exploring flour, rice, dates, and role-play food, which enhanced their fine motor skills.

Ramadan, the ninth and holiest month of the Islamic lunar calendar, involves Muslims fasting from dawn to sunset. Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast, often begins with dates and water, fostering family and community ties. The month concludes with Eid al-Fitr, a holiday of prayers, feasts, and generosity.

Pancake Day 🥞


ABC enjoyed celebrating pancake day yesterday! We tried pancakes, getting to add our own toppings. As well as this the children made pancakes out of playdough and had fun learning about pancakes and why we eat them. Then they got a chance to flip ‘pancakes’.

National Teddy Day 🧸


Adventurers enjoyed having a teddy bears picnic, with Teddy themed food and lots of cuddly toys to share it with!

January in Inventors 🗺️


The children in Inventors have enjoyed learning about the world last month and got try new foods, carry out crafts, explore the world flags and even dress up like mummies!

Investigators January 🌎


Investigator children enjoyed learning about the world during January! During this month they enjoyed making and eating different foods, visiting the local library and engaging in lots of crafts and activities from around the world!

January in the Adventurer room! 🗺️

At ABC we have been learning about the world and the different countries within it! The adventurers have enjoyed different sensory trays, cooking and trying different foods as well as making marks in different ways!
