At ABC the children engaged in two Ramadan themed activities.
They crafted sun catchers shaped like crescent moons, stars, and lanterns; important symbols in Islam enjoying creative independence.
As well as this, they collaborated in an iftar-themed tray, exploring flour, rice, dates, and role-play food, which enhanced their fine motor skills.
Ramadan, the ninth and holiest month of the Islamic lunar calendar, involves Muslims fasting from dawn to sunset. Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast, often begins with dates and water, fostering family and community ties. The month concludes with Eid al-Fitr, a holiday of prayers, feasts, and generosity.
