RALPH HELLIAR, reunited at last with his beloved wife, Betty. He died peacefully in Churchinford on Friday 21st January 2022, aged 99 years. He lived in Exmouth for many years and had fond memories of happy times with family and friends and lovely walks with his dogs on Woodbury Common and the beach.

He was a retired languages teacher at Exmouth School.

He loved animals and was a volunteer helping with the Slade Centre at the Donkey Sanctuary for 9 years. The family only service will be at St John in the Wilderness church, Exmouth. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory to the Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

HOLLOWAY VICKY died peacefully, aged 92, on 12th July in Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. She spent from the mid 1970’s to the early 1980’s teaching Biology at Exmouth School and loved it. She made many very good and special friends in and around Exmouth including those at the school, those in the town band with whom she played regularly for several years, those she painted portraits for, her spin-off music group ‘Doubtful Sound’ (named after a trip to the New Zealand sound of the same name!) and her very loyal chamber music friends whom she regularly hosted in her home in Exmouth. Dear Vicky - much loved and missed by us all.

Hi to you all. I am aware that posts on here have been very few recently but with all the restrictions in place this year, there is No chance of another reunion, anytime soon.
However, I have noticed several of you have already celebrated your 60th birthday. Congratulations to you 🎂🍾
So, those who are already 60 please post a photo of yourself from school days and another recent one. I'm sure you won't have changed at all 😉
And you who will be celebrating, please keep the album going and post a photo on your birthday please.
Garry Lewis, Steve Preston, Jenny Ager.
You can start us off.

I'm very sad to be adding this to our page, last Friday Phil Watson, one of my own classmates passed away to the misery of cancer. His funeral will be a private gathering but an invitation to the Exmouth Arms after 3pm on Friday 27th July is open to those who would like to have a beer with his closer friends and family to celebrate his life. RIP Phil and my sincere condolences to those near and dear to him

Tagging a few of the pictures may help us enormously, if you know people who are on faceache but not on this page, try tagging them...

When I organised the first major re-union for our year group in 1995, everything was done by door knocking and snail mail. It took me 9 months and cost £900 in phone calls and postage alone. Anyone brave enough to want to do this again in 2020 when we'll be 60? Anyone daft enough (or more Faceache literate than me) want to help me? Answers on a postcard...or email me [email protected] or PM me on here.

First re-union had more than 300 attendees, a minor personal medical hitch hindered the second attempt but still had 160 people. It would be fabulous to get 300 of us together again...or am I finally going completely nuts? All opinions/suggestions rude comments welcome.

Re-Onion 19/02/2018

I'm either going senile (likely) or these photos escaped somehow.
