Little Eagles Montessori

The children have loved learning about life cycles, it’s one of our favourite topics! We loved watching our caterpillars grow into butterflies 🐛 🦋 , we went to observe tadpoles which one of the children had at their house 🐸 and we found a snail in the garden so made a little house for him and observed him for a few days until we let him go 🐌

To follow the new sleep safety guidance coming into the EYFS in September, I have bought new waterproof sleep mats for the children who will sleep on them from 2+ years. Children under 2 years will continue to sleep in travel cots and every child will have a cellular blanket.

We have a mud kitchen!! Thanks to my husband for building it over half term. Still need to put the hobs onto it and add a working tap but the children are going to love playing with it this week! 😁

March - 🌸 Spring is finally here!! 🌸 we have been taking part in lots of spring activities and getting ready for Easter 🐣 it’s been finally warm enough to get water play out, making Mother’s Day cards, enjoying our outings (kids cove, beach, dinosaur hunt, country life, home bargains to pick up some spring decorations for the play room), planting our baby sunflower seeds and washing the garden toys, (yes I did put the car wash song on as they were doing it) 🤣.
The children have really enjoyed learning about life cycles, specifically of a chicken, frog & butterfly. Not forgetting our baby caterpillars arrived 🐛 and we will enjoy watching them grow! 🦋

Sorry been really slack on updating my fb page 🙈 look what we got up to in February - Chinese new year, valentines, lots of role playing, visiting the local pet shop, Bicton, making pancakes, finding & observing worms 🪱, visiting shops so the children can choose craft supplies & lots more!!
