All about me…

This week we are learning all about ourselves.

What makes us unique?

We started our week looking in the mirror and talking about our different features.
Lots of talk about our senses.
Feelings talk, showing different emotion faces.

We learnt a new word UNIQUE and the meaning.

We then created some amazing self portraits on paper and with play dough!

Our peg dolls were the perfect start talking about CUBS and what that stands for…

And we’re back for the Autumn term!

We spent today out in the fresh air this morning with friends and printing our photos from our Summer break at the shop. 📸

Looking and talking together about all the things we have been doing.

✂️ scissor practice cutting out all our pictures.

Sticking as we have started our CUBS Summer collage.

Made play dough and had lots of fun with it!

Safe to say everyone was so excited to be back into routine, singing hello and talking all about our feelings.

A small change, but a BIG difference 🤎

A little honest post from behind the scenes of childminding…

For a while now I’ve been struggling with achy legs, a sore back and generally feeling pretty uncomfortable by the end of my working days.

One thing I’ve realised is that since moving my childcare into the cabin, I’ve never actually had a proper chair for me.

Lots of sitting on the floor, sitting on little children’s chairs and constantly getting up and down throughout the day might not sound like a big deal, but over time I think it’s taken its toll on my body.

I’m always making sure the children have comfortable, suitable spaces and everything they need — but I hadn’t really stopped to think about what I needed.

So this might look like a small change… but for me, it feels like a really important one. 🤎

A proper supportive chair for me to sit in, rest my legs and give my back some much-needed support.

Sometimes we’re so busy looking after everyone else that we forget to look after ourselves too.

This change was needed. ✨

And I’m hoping it makes a BIG difference. 🤎

Of course Nellie was the first to test it out! 🐾

The Autumn reset has begun…

I’ve started with the outdoor kitchen/water table everything washed & packed away neatly into some new storage boxes but still accessible at anytime providing protection from the weather and giving opportunity to use the table for other things!

Saying goodbye is definitely the hardest part! 🥹❤️

This post just had to have his favourite song playing 🎶

We have made SO many special memories together, and watching you grow, learn and develop over the years has been an absolute pleasure!

This afternoon we spent some time reminiscing, looking back through old photos and videos from your time at CUBS. The children absolutely loved seeing little versions of themselves and remembering all the fun we’ve had! ❤️

This little CUB has been with me right from the very beginning of CUBS, and I’ve watched him grow into the oldest of our group. He has been so loving, nurturing and caring towards the younger children, and has become such a brilliant little helper too! 🥰

You will be SO missed, but you are more than ready for this next chapter and I know you are going to absolutely smash your school journey! 🎒✨

Such a great girly day today…

A play date at our friends, drawing, cutting and sticking, painting flowers, sunflower inspired water play, a quick late afternoon visit to park filled with giggles and even a show performance for me!
Excitement in our road as filming is being done for the TV!
Rounded off with tattoos for all of us!

This deserved its very own post…

My little phonics superstar 🌟 I’m so proud of this amazing little Cub and today was his last Phonics with Robot Reg session before he starts his school journey in September!

It has been amazing watching him develop his phonics skills and I will always remember his groovy dance moves!

In the recent weeks watching him blend so well makes my heart full!

Go smash those phonics at school!
