Our Summer Stay at home Trip!
We had a fantastic afternoon at Preschool today. Animals2usouthwest came to visit us with a selection of animals for the children to touch and hold. They told us all about each animal and then the children were invited to hold them. What a wonderful experience!
While one group were looking at animals the other group went on a Bear Hunt! They walked through the squelchy mud, stumble tripped over logs, braved the foamy snow bubble storm and splashed through the river. We tiptoed around to find a special bear in a cave..our very own Jo the gruffalo! All the children had a fantastic multi sensory experience! Who doesn’t like to go bare foot in mud!

The children were so excited to have a surprise visit this afternoon. Two local Policeman stopped to talk to us and hand out stickers!

We hope you will join us in wishing Sir David Attenborough a very happy 100th Birthday!
Sir David has inspired and influenced our Preschool children to love nature and want to protect the world we live in. We have enjoyed so many learning experiences such as growing on our allotment, caring for our stick Insects, sponsoring a guide dog, learning about recycling and being mindful of waste and single use products. Most of all being kind and caring to each other! Happy birthday!

The Preschool stick insects have had a lovely time visiting their family for Christmas. They performed a Nativity for their sisters and were amazing at playing the part of two of the three wise men. The next evening, Twiglet grew her wings! On New Year’s Eve, Sticky (one of their older sisters) went into labour and started laying eggs! On the 2nd of January Stick (another of their sisters) also began laying eggs, and on the 3rd of January we counted no less than 21 eggs and they are still coming! Twiggy and Twiglet are very excited to be getting the keys to their new, bigger house on Tuesday and are very much looking forward to moving back to preschool in it. They wish you all a very happy new year.

Thank you so much to everyone who braved the weather to come out to support this wonderful village event! Sean & Matt and the team at Berrybrook did us proud again! All the pink ladies at Exminster Preschool pull out all the stops to serve refreshments and walk along side the engines. There is so much work that goes on behind the event that goes unseen but is really appreciated! But to see all the children’s faces light up when they see Santa dancing on a steam engine makes it all worthwhile! Thank you to Exminster community what a magical night!
