It was great to be back on the Kingdom Biz Hub on Monday 7th September, kicking off a new season together. Helen Lami, Academic Summer, Living Learning English led our first gathering and started with a question that feels particularly relevant as many of us head into a new season of work: Where is your place of influence?

Around the screen were people working in very different worlds, including property, publishing, rail, education, AI and quantum computing. Some run businesses, while others are leading and influencing within organisations.
And that is really what Kingdom Biz is about.

You don’t have to own a business to belong. If you’re a Christian in the workplace, how you lead, the decisions you make and the way you treat people all matter.

Helen encouraged us to think of our workplace as a mission field. A place where we can live out our faith through integrity and courage, while genuinely caring for the people around us.

There was plenty of honest conversation too. We heard about changing careers, uncertain markets and stepping into bigger responsibilities. We talked about discerning what God is doing when we can’t yet see the whole picture.

Perhaps that is one of the things that makes the Hub valuable. You’re with people who understand that faith and work aren’t two separate parts of life. We can encourage one another, share what we’ve learnt and pray for each other through the realities of working life.
