Bien plus qu'une course cycliste... Le Tour de France est une véritable tradition française ! Chaque été pendant 3 semaines, il traverse des villes et des villages (et même d'autres pays !), des cols mythiques et des paysages spectaculaires.
Le Tour, c'est aussi des exploits sportifs mémorables et des champions qui écrivent l'histoire de la Grande Boucle.

More than just a cycling race, the Tour de France is a true French tradition. Every summer, for three weeks, it takes you through cities and villages (and even other countries!), over legendary mountain passes and through breathtaking landscapes.

The Tour is also about unforgettable sporting achievements and champions who continue to write the history of La Grande Boucle.

1981: France removes homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses.

1982: End of the discrimination that set the age of sexual consent at 15 for heterosexuals and 21 for homosexuals

1999: The Civil Solidarity Pact (PaCS) is passed. This marks the first legal option for same-sex unions in France.

2010: ‘Transsexualism’ is removed from the list of psychiatric conditions. France is a pioneer in this regard.

2013: The law authorising same-sex marriage and adoption

2016: Simplification of procedures for changing first names and gender on civil status records

Authorisation for homosexuals to give blood (but still restricted)

2021: The Bioethics Act extends assisted reproductive technology (ART) to female couples and single women

2022: Ban on ‘conversion therapy’ in France
