I would like to say a very big thank you to Karen, Sarah, all the staff & children for my lovely plant. I’ve really enjoyed being kitchen manager for the last 18months I definitely didn’t want to leave, but after hrs of thinking it was a very hard decision to make, if things were different then I would of stayed as I will miss you all. I’ve had so many memories to take away with me. Hearing the children singing in the hall as I was cooking their dinners & especially dressing up as a Deliveroo rider delivering the children’s food during lockdown the kids loved it & hearing them shouting Deliveroo is here was priceless.
Please can I ask whether the PTFA is planning a second hand uniform sale soon? I understand the cupboards in school are bulging with donations?! It would be so appreciated. The Royal Mail have said it is not thought that the virus lives long on paper and other natural fibres such as cotton. The CDC in America have stated that it is very hard to contract the virus from hard surfaces, even though it can survive for longer on them. I think we are safe to have a sale, perhaps with a queuing system outdoors and a limit to the number of people browsing at any one time? I am happy to help if I am free. Thank you all.

Anyone received a parking ticket this afternoon? My husband parked on the usual place for less than 10 mins to get our girls from school and even put the parking notice from st michael’s but when he came back there was a ticket already :(

Dear All, would anyone with 2 children be interested in selling me their aged 6-7 school uniform, on the understanding that I will return it to you when your younger sibling starts school? Even if they don't go to St Michael's in future, generic items like P.E. kit and trousers/shorts will be useful at other schools too. I have twins in reception (a boy and a girl) and am struggling financially as a single parent at the moment. Any uniform, girls or boys, that anyone could sell me second hand would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :-)

A number of people have contacted us saying they have been unable to find the school on the website to book the Flu Nasal Spray. The advice from the vaccine team is to copy and paste the link into your browser, not click on the link. If you have any problems, please contact the team directly using the contact details in the email we forwarded to you from them.

"Grace would like to thank everyone from St Michael’s for supporting her trip to Nantes to race at the BMX world champs. She had an amazing time and was placed 30th overall. It was amazing to be part of a huge 300+ GB team. We supported each other, younger and older. We had fun and we raced hard. Grace's coach even finished 8th in his category! Thank you for supporting by buying Lego and bracelets, by giving good luck wishes and for cheering along to the live YouTube stream on the day. Chase your dreams people! And if at first it doesn’t work, keep trying and keep learning from each experience".

End of day changes due to the Fete -
Reception - Please collect children from the hall door in the car park.
For years 1-6 the one way system is reversed and we are using the morning entrance of entering through the main gate off South Lawn Terrace, not through the car park
Years 1 and 2 - collect from the back doors of the hall
Years 3-6 - collect from classes as usual
Years 1 - 3 - Tomorrow is sports afternoon. Can children please come to school in their PE kits with suncream on and sun hats with them

The sports afternoon for Years 1-3 is on Thursday 14th July in school. Parents are welcome from 1.30pm. , there will be a viewing area under the canopies, only the children will be on the playground and field. The children will all need to come to school in their PE kits that day and have sun hats with them and sun cream applied in the morning

Music Showcase - As previously informed, the piano and drum teachers will not attend as they are full. Unfortunately, we have just heard that Jade Gall (woodwind) and Sam Massey (brass) are now not able to attend either. The showcase will go ahead, Mrs Sowden will have relevant information about all lessons
