One of the most important things I have had to learn is that the healing and growth journey does not make you immune to life’s challenges.

It isn’t about never struggling again. It doesn’t stop you feeling things such as heartbreak, grief, loss or the uncertainty that life can bring.

What it does do is give you a different way of meeting those challenges.

It gives you the tools, awareness and resilience to work with difficult emotions rather than be consumed by them.

It helps you to come back to yourself more quickly, reconnect with and remember who you are, whilst navigating life’s ups and downs from a more grounded and centred place.

I want to be very real with you.

I still have hard days. I still feel vulnerable and experience fear, sadness, disappointment and self-doubt at times.

The difference is that I now have the awareness, practices and trust in myself to support me through those moments, rather than get lost in them.

The older I get, the more I appreciate nature.

When I was younger, I never really noticed it. The trees, the rivers, the colours in the sky, the animals, the way the light catches the landscape. It was all just there.

Now it stops me in my tracks.

There are moments when I’m out walking and I find myself standing still, simply taking it all in. The beauty of it. The peace of it. The magic of it.

For me, nature is one of the most powerful medicines available. It helps quiet my mind, brings me back to the present moment and reminds me what really matters.

When life feels overwhelming, when my head is full, or when I need clarity, I head outside. Somehow the fresh air, open space and natural world have a way of helping me to feel grounded and balanced, and to reconnect with myself.

These days I find myself feeling deeply grateful that I am here to witness it all. To watch the seasons change, to feel the sun on my face, to stand in the rain, to hear the birds sing and to experience the beauty that surrounds us every single day.

Nature asks nothing from us, yet gives us so much.

So many people say they just want a peaceful life. No stress. No drama. No problems.

But the reality is, life doesn't come with that promise.

Life will always bring us challenges. There will always be things outside of our control. There will be difficult conversations, losses, disappointments, uncertainty and moments that test us.

What I do believe is possible is inner peace.

And in my experience, inner peace isn't something that just happens. It's something we cultivate through the work we do on ourselves.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that we don't control the external world. We don't control what other people do, what they say, how they behave, or what situations life places in front of us.

What we do have influence over is our inner world.

We can become aware of our thoughts, our emotions, our reactions, our beliefs and our patterns. We can learn to regulate ourselves, choose our responses, and decide what we will and won't allow into our lives.

It comes from getting to know who you are.

It comes from radical self-honesty.

It comes from looking at the parts of yourself you'd rather avoid, taking responsibility for your reactions, and becoming aware of the patterns that keep pulling you into the same cycles.

It comes from stepping away from gossip, drama and chaos.

It comes from holding healthy boundaries and being consistent with them.

It comes from learning to respond rather than react.

It comes from asking yourself, "Where am I contributing to and feeding the very things I say I don't want in my life?"

When I hear people say they just want a peaceful life, I often wonder:

Are you doing the things that create peace?

Are you willing to look at yourself honestly?

Are you willing to let go of what drains your energy, even when it's familiar?

Because peace isn't the absence of challenges.

Peace is knowing that even when life is challenging, you have the ability to come back to yourself.

And when you commit to the inner work, over time you can create a life with more joy, more vitality, more grounding and more inner peace, regardless of what is happening around you.

The best thing I ever did was invest in the inner me

I remember the very first therapy session I went to 12 years ago.

I booked in with a hypnotherapist because I thought the reason I hated myself, was deeply unhappy and struggling to survive each day, was because I had put weight on after leaving the military.

How wrong was I?

Luckily for me, my hypnotherapist integrated many different practices and noticed straight away that weight loss was the least of my issues.

Her words to me were:

"Corrina, I think weight loss is the least of your issues. Would you be happy to work with me on some of the deep-seated emotional stuff you have going on”

For the first time in my life, I felt like someone had truly seen and heard me.

Of course, I agreed, and the journey began.

I went from being someone who didn't have a clue who they were, who was repeating unhealthy behaviours and patterns, and living in constant pain and sadness, to someone who now knows herself, trusts herself, holds healthy boundaries and genuinely likes who she is.

This wasn't an instant change. It took time, honesty, courage, personal responsibility and a willingness to keep showing up for myself.

I didn't need fixing.

I needed guidance, support and tools that helped me explore the depths of myself and reconnect with who I really was – the person who had been there all along, buried beneath pain, trauma, patterns and limiting beliefs.

Over the years, I trained in many therapies and practices while continuing to do my own inner work – and I still do.

Because personal growth isn't about reaching a destination. It's about continuing to deepen your relationship with yourself.

If any of this speaks to you, and you're ready to start a journey back to yourself, to build self-trust, become more self-aware, reconnect with your intuition and find greater peace within yourself, then get in touch.

I'm currently offering one-to-one sessions online or in person, integrating a range of approaches tailored to you and your individual needs.

Sometimes in life we get knocked down. We go through heartbreak, loss, rejection, fear, stress, disappointment, moments that shake us and make us question ourselves.

But when those moments come, remember this..

You have been here before. Maybe not in the exact same situation, but you’ve felt pain before. You’ve faced darkness before. You’ve had moments where you didn’t know how you were going to get through, and somehow, you did.

You picked yourself back up. You carried yourself through it. You survived it. And every single time you came back wiser, stronger, and more connected to yourself.

That strength still lives within you now.

Life will always bring challenges. There will always be moments that test you, humble you, and force you to grow. (If you choose to grow 😉)

In those moments when you feel low, remember the substance you carry within yourself. Remember your resilience. Remember your fire. Remember the version of you that refused to give up.

Remember who you are.

You have overcome before. And you will overcome again.

Every. Single. Time. ❤️

I’m going to be offering two online breathwork sessions for free as part of my training that I am currently doing.

These will be group sessions via zoom. If this interests you let me know and we can have a chat.

There are so many benefits that come from practicing breathwork, I’ve personally experienced many benefits from practicing it, it has certainly helped me to become more present in everyday life and it has massively increased my conscious awareness to my own internal stuff that goes on, which is always good as it opens the doors to expansion and growth. To be honest it’s done so much for me already that I could write pages on it.

Message me if you’re keen.
