Monday morning glute session done, with Caroline Girvan 😳 Now questioning whether I actually need glutes at my age 🀣🀣

Summer is fading fast and it feels a little strange not to be busy researching and constructing new class plans for upcoming yoga classes. πŸ˜’

However, I have noted lots of new and exciting opportunities for yoga classes starting in Crieff soon. Check out the updated Yoga Shed page.

I hope you have all found just the right class for you and are looking forward to your next yoga adventure.

I will miss you this Autumn though πŸ˜ͺ

Right, off to make the most of today because I may not be able to walk tomorrow! ( thank goodness for Yin πŸ™).

Whatever practice you are following, have fun and breathe xx

This book was gifted to me by a very special yoga student some time ago, and I have had the space to dive- in to it recently.

I would highly recommend it to everyone, but especially those of us who can feel trapped and misdirected by an over-active mind.
It is a gentle reminder that only when the heart and mind work in harmony can we find the freedom to 'let go'.

Although I am taking a break from teaching yoga/sound and am living a large part of my week at the dump/charity drop-off πŸ˜‚, my yoga journey continues and ,as I have been doing for the last several years, I hope to share some of it from time-to-time on here with you.

At the moment, my go-to youtube yoga is Devi Daly. I need that gentle Yin focus right now and her classes are excellent. Check out her channel if you have time.
My other 'must-do' to keep sane is Caroline Girvan's weight lifting programmes. Love it!

Keep enjoying your practice, whatever it may be, and I will keep you updated on any progress I make, both on the house move and in my yoga journey.

I love the fact that science has finally caught up with our instinctive knowledge of what will heal and regenerate the body.
Sound is a fundamental component of our development and with that understanding we can use it to great effect, whether that be for relaxation, healing or self-reflection.

Most β€œFirst Nation” people have a tradition of inducing healing trance with music and sound. This shamanic approach has changed over the years as with 21st-century technology we can see more deeply into the brain to find out how and why certain sounds affect us.

The method now is more refined but the roots are still very much planted in ancient traditional shamanic practices. For example, in ancient times it was thought that the shaman travelled to the spirit or plant kingdom to get healing to bring back to the person they were healing.

We now understand that certain sounds enable the brain to go into an altered state, which in itself triggers a healing response. Our method has been refined over 25 years to maximise the benefits that can be achieved and we do this by playing specific instruments in a particular way.

Well, that was my last four yoga classes in The Yoga Shed yesterday. I have to admit I was worried about the state I might end up in as it has been an emotional journey. However, the fabulous people who have practiced yoga with me made yesterday a happy, joyous and positive day.
Thank you so much to you all for your kindness, generosity and beautiful energy. Special, special people ❀️

I will keep you all updated from time-to-time on my progress in finding a new home and who knows, maybe I will be able to tempt you North for a session or two in the future πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰

It has been a joy getting to know you all,

June the 22nd will be my final session in, The Yoga Shed Crieff. I have loved working in this beautiful studio and alongside Ronnie and Rebecca who have made me very welcome.
Time to temporarily hang up my gongs and yoga blocks however, while I focus on moving house.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years, you are all amazing.
I will keep you all posted on where I end up and how much sanity I still have intact, and in due time I hope to re-establish workshops and retreats.
Thank you, thank you, thank you πŸ™β€οΈ

Well, it took a fair bit longer to put together than I thought, but all done now. 😊
On to the next one...

After much grumbling from the other end of the couch, I am now onto my next stash-inspired blanket. It's coming along 😁😁
